Having recently joined the vibrant community of the Anomalie Collective as a resident DJ shortly after moving to Melbourne, myspacerocket has already graced the stages of esteemed events such as 150BPM, Technoland, RaveCircuit, and Dark Matters, alongside various private parties and doofs. His impact is unmistakable, marking him as a pivotal figure in the Melbourne techno scene.

Ilia Slobodchikov, the maestro behind myspacerocket, embarked on his musical odyssey in the pulsating heart of Moscow's ARMA17, a colossal warehouse where the fusion of deep bass, eccentric synths, and massive visual installations ignited his passion for techno. From deep and minimal house to the diverse spectrum of raw techno, Ilia's musical journey has been one of constant evolution and discovery. His relocation from Sydney to Melbourne was not just a change of scenery but a deliberate move towards a city that resonates with his musical soul, proving that music and art are not just parts of his life but the essence of his happiness.

Despite the competitive scenes in Moscow and Sydney, it was in Melbourne that Ilia found the personal time, space, and community to refine his craft. Over the past one and a half years, he has dedicated himself to honing his skills, amassing a formidable music collection, and learning from the vibrant techno community around him. This period of intense growth and exploration has catapulted him to new heights, making him a name to watch in the global techno scene.

Tilt Shift sits firmly left of center, a difficult-to-label square peg that unintentionally fails to fit a pigeonhole. Borrowing from the photography term, Tilt Shift refers to two different types of movement, a selective focus with a large depth of field used to control perception. As we have come to think of it, it’s where the lines blur

Since moving to Melbourne in 2023, he has established himself in the local electronic music scene as a resident DJ with Anomalie Collective. His growing presence has included DJ and hybrid performances at Melbourne's vibrant landscape at Tilt Shift, New Guernica's Eat the Beat, Kiss FM radio, iconic My Aeon, Russian House Melbourne, and many more. Driven by his vision for raw and hypnotic sounds, he has also curated and organised Dark Matters rave, delivering an immersive outdoor experience alongside fellow artists.
