EYX018 brings Scalymoth's debut EP, the two-tracker titled "Lush / Humble Rumble” marks a new milestone in the rapidly rising career of the DJ from Brisbane (Australia).

Scalymoth, has emerged as rising talent in the electronic music world, quietly making waves with her unique sound and innovative production techniques. Drawing inspiration from diverse experiences and the vibrant
energy of different locales, the Australian producer’s music is a blend of i intricate production, atmospheric textures, and powerful beats.

The EP offers two contrasting yet complementary tracks that highlight his versatile production skills and deep understanding of the dancefloor. "Lush" opens the EP with a cascade of ethereal textures that transport listeners into a dreamlike state. The track's layered synths and gentle beats create an atmosphere of tranquility and introspection, making it perfect for both chilled-out listening sessions and early morning festival sets. In stark contrast, "Humble Rumble" brings the energy up with a pulsating bassline and fierce beats that are sure to ignite dancefloors. Ultimately “Lush / Humble Rumble” explores the duality of sound and emotion of Scalymoth’s music, while ’Lush' captures the serene, introspective side of my production, 'Humble Rumble' is all about raw energy and movement.

“This debut EP is the culmination of a few years of making, listening and learning. It is designed to make you move in whichever way and wherever makes you feel comfortable. All tracks were created on drum machines,
inspired by random occurrences over the last year. I'm also excited I got to weave in some field recordings I took in India.

Although @s_l_y_n grew up in Den Haag, she now lives in Glasgow, where she studies as a marine biologist and analyses the consequences of climate change on life in the deep oceans. Ashlynn chooses submerged textures and ethereal atmospheres, creating a sonic apnea capable of holding one's breath in time. Through "in Passing tides" she connects with other artists of the aquatic world, exploring sound waves under an organic lens.
