We linked up over Instagram and started sending different ideas to each other and I think because our styles complimented one another so nicely the song just came together really naturally. I wrote this song about how I got so used to turbulence in my life, that when I finally found a state of calm I seemed to try and self sabotage all the time. It was almost as if I didn’t know how to sit in that comfortable safe space, or didn’t feel like I even deserved it. I love being able to exercise emotions through writing songs, it's super cathartic and way cheaper than therapy!

I first heard CARLIE's amazing voice on a song of hers called "Highs and Lows", then reached out to her and was like "yooooooo let's collab i love ur music!". She was down from the start so we simply went for it. I showed her a wip's playlist I had, and she was like "send this one!" (this was march 2021). Vocals were spot on from the start. Track originally was more "trappy" but then started mutating and became a mix between house and trap and baile. 
I really wanted to get this one released, hope you all love it!

‘Meant To Be’ is a track I wrote about all the people I’ve seen on the edge of either starting a relationship, or ending one. As a stubborn over-thinker myself, I’ve been on both sides of this and, in either situation, have always overly complicated things for myself. There’s a lot of unnecessary noise when you’re constantly wondering whether a person is the right one for you. This song is a reminder to just let these things happen, enjoy the moments you share with others, and be free.  As always, I truly hope you enjoy.

I’m a massive space nerd. I love everything to do with space, the universe, astrobiology and abiogenesis (the origins of life). Something I’ve always found fascinating is how unlikely it is that we are able to exist here at all. So many millions of things had to go right in order for us to be here.. so many tiny details all aligning so that we can live our day to day lives. One of those details is the earth’s atmosphere, the thin blue line, the only thing that separates us from infinite nothingness. I wanted to end the album on a high note, a reminder that it’s not all doom and gloom, that the fact that we’re here at all and able to listen to music is completely ridiculous. And also that this entire situation is incredible fragile and rare. We need to protect it.
