Many Druid rituals begin or end with singing or chanting the Awen. When doing so, the word is stretched to three syllables, sounding like ah-oo-wen. It is a powerful sound, that opens up the heart and soul. Sung/chanted together, or in rounds. Our hearts literally can open if we let them when chanting or singing the Awen.

So what is Awen?
In Druidry, the word, Awen loosely translated from Welsh, means flowing spirit, or flowing inspiration. Chanting Awen can be used to awaken our own energy, and encourage it to stretch out towards the energy of nature around us. It is an opening of one’s self, of one’s spirit or soul, in order to truly and deeply connect with the divine source of all life. 
Awen is an awareness, not just on a physical and mental level but on a soul deep level an awareness of the entirety of existence, of life itself. It is seeing the threads that connect us all. It is the deep well of inspiration that we drink from, to nurture our souls and our world and to give back in joy, in reverence, in wild abandon and in solemn ceremony.

De nombreux rituels druidiques commencent ou se terminent par le chant ou le chant de l'Awen. Ce faisant, le mot est étiré à trois syllabes, sonnant comme ah-oo-wen. C'est un son puissant, qui ouvre le cœur et l'âme. Chanté/chanté ensemble, ou en rondes. Nos cœurs peuvent littéralement s'ouvrir si nous les laissons faire en chantant ou en chantant l'Awen.

Alors qu'est-ce qu'Awen ?
En druidisme, le mot Awen, traduit vaguement du gallois, signifie esprit fluide ou inspiration fluide. Chanter Awen peut être utilisé pour éveiller notre propre énergie et l'encourager à s'étendre vers l'énergie de la nature qui nous entoure. C'est une ouverture de soi, de son esprit ou de son âme, afin de se connecter véritablement et profondément avec la source divine de toute vie.
Awen est une prise de conscience, non seulement au niveau physique et mental, mais au niveau profond de l'âme, une prise de conscience de l'intégralité de l'existence, de la vie elle-même. C'est voir les fils qui nous relient tous. C'est le puits profond d'inspiration dans lequel nous buvons, pour nourrir nos âmes et notre monde et pour redonner dans la joie, dans la révérence, dans l'abandon sauvage et dans une cérémonie solennelle.
