Stahel's latest work 'a new kind of instrument' documents
the experimental approaches of a fresh and coming audio designer from Switzerland.
By exploring unknown combinations of sound, noise and tones, the artist
creates a cinematic landscape, painting with the deep and vibrating
electronic signals of his modular synth.

The creational process took place in a studio bunker in the north of Berlin catching the vibe of the concrete around and pressing it into the form of ambient drone music.
Stahel build his own eurorack modular system setup and
all four tracks are recorded from live sessions in a free flow of consciousness.

Each of the pieces on its own is an abstract dive into the mathematical and enthropic circuits of the artists improvising mind and his vision of musical development. Together they form more than just the sum, they build a portfolio of variety and an etheric dreamscape inviting to be explored.

The modular synth creates an artificial yet organic vibe, expressing the unknown territory of a contemporary machine-influenced society and it's future through humanity's empathic lenses.

Stahel included a lot of creative minds and artists into the project and is thankful for their part of work, support and the enrichment they brought to the table.


"Objects, instruments, tools, creations are alive.
All of them convert a piece of the soul of their owners, inventors, and current possessors.
Sometimes that fragment can be felt, pulsating waves of unmeasurable emotions.

In order to explore the unknown and float into undiscovered landscapes one needs certain kind of tools, objects or creations.
Just like this diving helmet, crafted in the early 1920s by the legendary scuba engineer P. vaan Becquelin, once accompanying his assistant engineer Mario Deluggioni on a test dive down to 100 m below mean sea level.
We got this footage from the Marine Museum of San Marino, and the helmet still is emitting the energy of the past.
Yet the current position of the helmet is unknown, M. Deluggionie lost it alongside with his mind during a demonstration dive for the museum.
The assistant returned in a state of dread and fear, shaking from head to toe, losing his ability to speak with sense.
So he was never able to explain what happened beneath the surface of the sea or give any ideas about the helmets position. He took that secret with him into the depths of the ocean when he was buried at sea some decades ago.
The Marine Museum of San Marino still is on the search for this fascinating piece of diving history to become part of their future exhibition.

From music to artwork, Berlin-based artist Rødig showcases his first solo EP - Blue Thinker.

Using groove as the essence of this self-made project, Blue Thinker shines as a fun and moody four tracks album dedicated to pensive minds and happy souls. Combining pure simplistic and dub melodic techno with fast glitchy electro/breaks. It makes this album a go-to for electronic music enthusiasts, listeners or dancefloor freaks.

Idealistically, Blue Thinker gives the listener an insight into one’s channel of thoughts rhythmed through time. Starting with ‘’Blue Thinker’’, he delivers a profound track helping listeners delve into their nostalgia induced state bringing back acute memories of some of life’s most sweet fleeting moments.

‘’Welkins’’ is a more positivity-infused track. From its direct meaning (Welkin = the vault of the sky: FIRMAMENT), daydreaming vibes at its very core.

‘’Solutionist’’ is the down-to-earth track of this album, providing an avid tool for DJs suitable for controlling their sets.

Closing this musical story, ‘’Fresh Thought’’ brings up one of the styles that inspires this artist.Rødig allows you to dive into his creative world with the cover, a self-made painting directly inspired by these four tracks.

Lastly some words from myself - its been a true pleasure putting this release together with Loic aka RØDIG. Someone I've had the pleasure of bonding with over the last few years, specifically over music and our love for particularly soulful, motown, blues based tunes - as well as full delerium inducing millenium throwback pumpers from the big beat scene.

Moving forward with intent and seriously focussed on developing his studio craft, Stahel anchors hypnotic elements within the groove creating special story.

Andreas believe that music producing is a long life learning which means that 
he’s constantly searching for novelties in his technics and his music. He’s working on each elements of the track, in order to achieve a clean but satisfying music which experiment, therefore, a dark and capturing music that is pushed into details, texture and psychedelism.
