Get To Move gets things going with a meaty kick and snare, and a building vocal loop which drops into a deep growling bassline.  The synth work on this one is subtle with tons of ear candy blips and sweeps, but builds and drops throughout to keep hands well and truly in the air.

Flipside track Little Bitch has the swing function set to max, relying on a much more skippy beat and buzzing low slung bassline, perfectly complemented by synth stabs and sweeps.  Nearing the halfway mark Colombo switches up the bassline to a darker driving mid-way section before dropping back into the main hook.  This is breakbeat with a smile, and a bit of a wiggle too, but a bonafide secret weapon that'll set a club alight!"

Colombo : Little Bitch (iBreaks) 9/09/13

iBreaks is proud to present a two-track sampler from Colombo's forthcoming "Station 21" album, our final release for 2013.

On "Station 21" one of Spain's finest producers Colombo explores the full range of sounds from the breakbeat scene's early days.  This sampler gives just a flavour of what to expect from this mighty collection of sounds.

"Part Of Me" featuring rapper/MC BBK has a contemporary feel to it whilst reaching back to the early 2000s for inspiration in sounds and vibe.  Colombo's trademark beats punch through whilst BKK's vocals flow perfectly overhead.  Add a smattering of vocoder vocals, and some clever synth work and you have a dancefloor crowd pleaser with an immense groove.

Flip side  "You Don't Stop", features a big system ravey breaks cut.  The vocal line balances nicely with searing synth sounds and some clever bass work.  This is peak time through and through, and a must have for your headline sets!

iBreaks 69 comes from new signing Sunsha.  Hailing from Estonia, Alex has been producing since 2005, and has taken his time honing his sound and creating a style that’s Progressive and Acidic with an Electro vibe too.

“Wild Sensation” leads the way on this two track release, starting proceedings with a tasty kick, snare and hat combo backed by a mid-range electro synth line before dropping into a distorted chord sequence.  This builds the tension nicely for what drops next - some crazy razor-sharp rhythmic synth work that plays perfectly off the beats.  As this one progresses we get a brand new mid-way section that raises the energy - and acid levels!

Showing the more progressive side of Sunsha is “Check This Out” which focusses much more on melody with complementing synth lines working together to create a lush soundscape over the crisp beats.  A low end rolling bassline works some magic in the bottom end leaving the synths to do their thing - creating a building vibe throughout.  Again we get a great middle section that raises the track up a notch.  Sunsha is a name to watch!

Party breakster Colombo returns to iBreaks with three funk-fuelled cuts to make your dancefloor move!

"California" kicks things off with some rolling filtered guitar loops and slappy bass, before the driving warps and bleeps join the fun to create a truly infectious groove.  It's part disco, part funk, but all breaks.

On "Funk Me" Colombo takes a slightly darker bass-driven mood, nicely balanced with some sweet vocal loops, swung beats and even some flute and sax in there for good measure.  It's funky, but Colombo through and through.

Rounding out the EP is "Extend The Tempo" which moves in an altogether steppier direction,  and channels more of the vibe of early 2000's garage-influenced breaks.  There's a hint of his love for Big Beat too with the inclusion of ska-esque organ stabs and cheeky vocal clips.
