I never realized how hard it could be do cover a song. I both wanted to stay faithful to the original but put my own spin on it. In the end, this is what came out from my efforts.

So, this song, another song, and possibly another song will be dealing with the aftermath. Seems fitting that this album is called "At It Again!" because that is legitimately what I'm doing.

To Be With You

Another song from a prompt from my songwriting class. I wrote this in 10 minutes, threw together the guitar part in the parking lot of the community college, and in a little over 2 hours recorded the... mostly finished product. If I weren't so focused on being a "3" piece band, I would add some nice ambient electric to the background. For being a basic verse, chorus, verse song, I'm actually quite pleased with this one!

This is the title track for my current project. This is also the first song in which I attempt a key change. I like the simplicity of this one. Straightforward, but also a little nuance to the vocals, which actually proved to be difficult to keep in time with while singing. One wrong beat or hesitation and I would be thrown completely off. This song actually woke me up in the morning. I just had to get it down before the melody and idea got away from me! Happy Halloween! As that is still today.
