Responsible for some of electronic music’s most enduring classics, including the seminal ‘Higher States of Consciousness’, ‘Don’t Laugh’ and ‘How's Your Evening So Far?’, the Ovum Recordings boss and clubland luminary readies his first solo effort for Radio Slave’s Rekids this January. Turning in a standout EP featuring two tracks on the vinyl and a digital bonus, the US-based DJ/producer furthers his position as one of dance music’s most lauded acts.

Leading the release, ‘Detroit Stab’ kicks off the A-side with hypnotic stabs and rigid, pumping drums progressing into an ethereal breakdown provided by hazy, floating pads. On the flip, ‘May Minimal’ sees Wink toy with rolling FM tones, modulating automation, and glistening synths. Accompanying the 12” is the digital-only ‘May Minimal (String Free)’, which strips the B-side of the strings, offering a welcome addition to USB sticks worldwide.

Closing in on the Kanzleramt 20th anniversary, we proudly introduce another classic track, originally released on Richard Bartzʼ Kurbel, “Souldancer”. In 2005 Heiko used the original Souldancer on his album Spread on Kanzleramt (ka123) and here come the all fueled up mixes by Heiko Laux and the Buenos Aires top producer Jonas Kopp.

Slam bring light to their Paragraph imprint with the floor-shattering 'Cadence' release. 

'Cadence' is as tough and as noisy as you'll find Slam today. Sitting on the outskirts of Techno, the Glaswegian pair push the envelope of their style and production, utilising a grit they have worked on for over twenty years.

The deeper of the two tracks ,'Remain', still packs a punch. While preserving the rumbling low-end that binds 'Cadence' together, 'Remain' bears a fathomless form that allows that dizzying, cosmos moment in longer sets. 

This powerful two tracker from Slam is a welcome return for Paragraph.

Carlo Lio is a Techno & House DJ/Producer that hails from Toronto in Canada. Carlo is just about to release his EP on Carl Cox and Jon Rundell's seminal imprint Intec. Follows Carlo’s previous acclaimed Intec EP releases such as; ‘My Favourite Mistake’, ‘For The Love Of’ and ‘False Information / Coppa’ The new two track EP 'Escobar’ is out on the 22nd of December, Just in time for christmas! 

DJ Mag have been given one of the tracks for its readers to have an exclusive listen. The track follows Carlo's unique tech groove sound.

‘Escobar Season’ kicks proceedings off and boasts all the hallmarks of a Lio track including his addictive chugging groove, menacing/eerie chord tones and his infamous hats and shakers. The track also utilizes a looped-up old rap sample that’s manipulated throughout. This is pure heads-down stripped-back techno which we’re certain will be played over and over throughout the New Year period and beyond.

UK techno legend Mark Broom returns to Rekids in February to release four uplifting cuts in the form of his ‘Break 97’ EP.

Mark Broom’s musical career is certainly something to behold – with over 150 releases over the past 25 years, on top of regular gigs across the world’s most renowned institutions, there’s no doubting his work ethic and his influence upon the scene. A prolific artist and true pioneer in the techno world, having worked with revered labels such as Warp, R&S, Ifach and Soma, and in more recent times Blueprint, EPM Music, Red Sonja Records and his own Beard Man Records, his ‘Break 97’ EP kick-starts 2019 for Radio Slave’s Rekids as the imprint adds yet another outstanding name to its roster following the likes of DJ Deep, Sebo K, DJ Spider and more.

‘Break 97’ sets the tone of the EP with a fusion of techno and disco, delicately blending funk-infused chords and resonating kicks amongst groove-filled vocals, before ‘Heart’ delivers inspiriting disco samples, punchy low end and elevating strings to reveal an effervescent aesthetic throughout. ‘EFB’ takes things up a notch, offering a dancefloor focused cut balancing rattling highs, vibrant synth flutters and a muffled vocal line, until ‘G Theme’ rounds out proceedings armed with robust percussion, electrifying vocals and undulating, euphoric keys.

For this latest entry into the LFRMX-catalogue Len Faki has chosen two synth-driven tracks of anthemic proportions. Reeko, also known as Architectural, with only one release under his Humano-guise, gets picked for its dramatic strings and larger-than-life stabs, slowly building towards a driving momentum, taking on the peak time with style.
The flip sports mainstay Inigo Kennedy, whose original track built heavily on atmospheric IDM-breakbeats, but works just as well with a straight corset issued by Faki, now highlighting the poetic synth work at its core even more.
