The Acido Records label head, one half of the production duo Dresvn and an amazing DJ got to it and recorded a mix!

Command D is a producer and DJ living and working on Gadigal Land in Eora/Sydney. His productions tie together dub techno, underground house and contemporary club to create stimulating atmospheres with plenty of subtle details. While his DJ’s sets draw from a wider range of influences, they’ve always got the dance in mind. Expect moments of introspection, catharsis and bliss, all floating around in a smoke haze.

The opener for 2025 is a mix by Khotin from Edmonton, known for his productions from such as Ghostly and Public Release. This 80mins recorded live in Victoria, British Columbia on August 5, 2023 sounds very imaginative. Over a powerful yet rounded bottom and nimbly dancing percussion, the dreamy and melancholic melodies that can be found his works sway, and his dubbed-out groove sometimes with a slight feverishness, but always maintaining a low altitude will make you feel as if you are dancing in the morning haze. Let's go deeper together.

"World music" is an English phrase for styles of music from non-English speaking countries, including quasi-traditional, intercultural, and traditional music.World music's broad nature and elasticity as a musical category pose obstacles to a universal definition, but its ethic of interest in the culturally exotic is encapsulated in Roots magazine's description of the genre as "local music from out there" - Wikipedia. These four albums are a synthesis and fusion of these different cultural forms with jazz, blues, funk and rock overtones. All tracks composed, played, recorded and mixed by David Taylor Hughes. All tracks are 100% improvised.
