We’ve always thought Catz ‘n Dogz are well mannered gentlemen. Here they prove it with their ghetto-minded twist on the most important gesture a man can make… Ladies first.

“Booty Comes First” opens with a mid ‘90s arpeggiated synth hook that pumps with a crisp sense of innocence. This purity is soon corrupted by subtle orgasm moans, gangster vocal loops and a twisted melting trumpet horn blast. Switched up with classic garagey off-beat snares, it carries all the classic Catz ‘n Dogz motifs while remaining fresh, exciting and seriously next level.

Unlike the A-side, there are no airs and graces about “Bones Shakin.’” A swinging, butt-busting groove, this is quintessential dirtybird thanks to its jacking dynamic, wretched robo-vocals and head-turning noises and FX.

KRAKE is an annual Berlin based festival for challenging electronic music. Krake means „octo- pus“ and the festival is organised in a comparable way: reaching out to selected locations during one week presenting the best in electronic music whatever style it is. The festival is not huge, not expensive, does not have big sponsoring deals or four different colour are passes. It’s just a good and so far successful try to bring back the focus on artists who dare to step off the beaten tracks. 
KRAKE 002 contains mostly exclusive tracks of artists who played at the Krake festival in 2013. The A-side starts with a dark ambient drone by DÄMMERN, followed by a pop-fueled two-step hit by PHON.O. Next in line is Irishman EOMAC with a warm and deep IDM track already char- ted by none less than Thom Yorke of Radiohead, followed by „Resolution“, a little melancholic stepper by BILL YOUNGMAN. 
The B-side is being opened with a techno track by grandmaster MONOLAKE in his most typical dubby percussive style. For the next track FRANK BRETSCHNEIDER reduces the sounds to the max again to deliver a percussive track as minimalistic as can be. Legendary techno producer CRISTIAN VOGEL, known for his constant search for new values, closes the compilation with an avantgarde piece of noise and drones.

HAPPY STAR WARS DAY ! MAY 4th, 2014 ! MAY THE 4th BE WITH YOU !

I wrote 'Rebel Alliance Break' early last year actually, and have been using it in my dj sets as a fun interlude between the more serious club tracks. It's somewhat of a homage to very simple and effective baltimore club music, but at the same time using my straight up nerd ammunition to fuel the fire. Unlike most of my upcoming 2nd LP / the new label it's not to be taken too serious. Subconsciously I feel that's what a lot of people love about bmore club, It's raw, authentic and doesn't take itself to serious. Its also a nice juxtaposition for my dj sets. 

I used the ending sequence / throne room track from Episode IV because as a child it was probably one of the most musically effective / powerful scenes. It just seemed right to me that those symphonic melodies would also translate into energy on a dance floor. Also I still read Star Wars comics and books *insert laughter here* so its always floating in the psychosphere.

This two track digital release meshes garage, 90's house and bass to create a weighty dancefloor EP.

"All Nite" pounds a determined 4/4 beat resonating with deep bass while a 90's power vocal screams on top. The track teases the listener pulling back and flirting with samples and drums until collapsing into a weighty bass drop. The track continues to roll building syncopated snares jittery piano chords and a sleazy vocal.

2020 Vision and Defected associate Tuccillo as Doublet for a three track EP written in Ibiza 
using plenty of great gear including Akais, Moogs and various Roland drum machines and 
synths. What’s more, the vinyl edition will see 500 limited colour 10”s pressed up for 
the real collectors out there.  
 
Tomoki’s trademark fusion of deep, tech, electro, minimal and soulful influences has won 
him many admirers while Tuccillo has excelled with his classic house releases recently 
so this is a fine pairing. And they don’t let anyone down, kicking things off with 
‘Discovered Night’, a muscular bit of deep house that pays homage to classic Chicago 
sounds with its busy claps and tightly knotted bassline. The details are key here – subtle pad 
patterns, surreptitious chords and plenty of musical warmth. 
 
The vinyl only track ‘Cosmic Sign’ is another engaging cut with a tight arrangement of loose 
drum hits, bendy synths and shuffling drums. It’s busy and kinetic but never grows exhausting, 
and despite being such a full track, still retains plenty of sonic dynamism and contrast thanks 
to the skills of the men producing it.  
 
‘Synthonic’ is for the more peak time moments of any DJ set – it stands tall with a punchy 
undercarriage, some lovely rolling organ melodies and slinky percussive moves that demand 
you dance along. Digital buyers also get treated to ‘Cosmic Sign (pad export)’. 
 
Just a year after first starting a label to go with the esteemed Holic music events in London, 
Holic Trax is already carving out its own niche in the electronic music world.
