Toma Hawk - Music For A New Generations – Press Release

Toma Hawk is back with a brand-new EP called ‘Music For A New Generation’ and by no means is he messing about! The title track begins with a galloping beat and a variety of percussive intricacies that make up its own melody. There's a harnessed wildness about the track that sucks you in and forces you to focus on every little detail within the production. Toma Hawk introduces a deeper groove with hints of vocals before becoming more and more intense with each bar and a forceful bassline driving the way. In true Toma Hawk fashion, a trippy filtered vocal infiltrates joined by dramatic stabs as the ferocity rises into another heart-stopping drop.
 
The second track on the EP is ‘Snatch’ which launches into a percussive intro that gives off an almost jungle vibe ahead of a booming bass that dominates the track. ‘Snatch’ is much funkier in groove as the hi-hats take control of your feet, making you want to dance along. Cinematic synths dance across the background highlighting the complexities within the production.
 
Toma Hawk has had quite the year for music with releases such as ‘Velvet’, ‘Destination Zero’ and ‘The Watcher’ all generating quite the stir before launching his moniker ‘Mon.Ton’ to the masses, developing a deeper and darker Techno sound. Having been a part of the dance music industry for the best part of 25 years, Toma Hawk has adapted and moulded into a powerhouse of an artist whose passion for Techno knows no bounds.

Lucy Lowis is 17 year old singer/songwriter from Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Lucy’s passion for art, animals and living a cruelty-free existence find an outlet in these artistic creations.  Lucy's introspective lyrics and compelling performances allow easy connection with fans. Lucy's songs and artwork are born of personal experiences in life and a positive outlook on life and observations of everyday simple joy are consistent themes. She also touches on more sensitive topics of love, loss and the human condition. Lucy has always been immersed in music creation, performers and instruments, spending most a childhood regularly in and around a recording studio. Lucy was featured at school talent shows from 3rd grade onward, playing a guitar that dwarfed Lucy's small frame and singing in a confident, strong voice, well beyond years actually lived.

In 2018, Lucy recorded demos of a few original songs, which caught the attention of Michigan artists in the Andrew Fisher Quartet, who invited Lucy to open for the band. Lucy's original song, Safe Haven, was featured at a holiday fundraiser and was also showcased performer alongside several seasoned musicians.

Safe Haven, Sunshine Girl and Waiting have accumulated significant credited online plays, cresting 1,000,000 spins on Spotify in early 2022.

In 2021, Lucy was asked to contribute (2) Elliott Smith cover songs for Kill Rock Stars 30th Anniversary Compilation (Stars Rock Kill (Rock Stars).   Check out Lucy's renditions of No Name # 1 and Say Yes everywhere you stream music. #KRS30YRS

Lucy was selected as one the 3 finalists at the Fretboard Festival in Kalamazoo in early 2019. Lucy's debut album “Seventh Cycle Soul,” was released in 2020, featuring a full band on many tracks.  Lucy is making plans for a second full length album to be released in late 2022.
