22 Digit Records is Deep Tech House and Techno label whose roster and artists include Moodymanc, Tom Ellis, Trus’me, Inxec and Matt Tolfrey amongst many others. 

Like so many labels 22 Digit is starting 2015 looking back over their catalogue, but unlike most, deciding not to pick bestselling tracks from its better known artists. Instead opting to reflect on the journey so far and select some of its long forgotten treasures that may have slipped under the radar first time round. 

Showcasing the labels open minded approach to electronic music this releases features Percussive Tech House, Acid Techno and Emotional Deep House. For existing fans of the label this is a perfect chance to grab something you might of missed and for newcomers this could soon be your favourite label.

22 Digit Records present the debut release from Zerødays which is a new alias from Rico Casazza who has also featured on labels including BEEF Records, Archipel, Plastic City,  Soma, Loose Lips, Cultivated Electronics, and many others over 10 years of music activity….  Also on the EP is a remix from Brain Rays who have previously been regular collaborators with Neil Landstrumm contributing tracks to labels such as Killekill and My Techno Weighs A Ton.  Fans of 22 Digit Records might already be familiar with Rico Casazza via the EP he dropped on the label at the start of 2019, and Zerødays has all the same atmospheric textures, but focuses on slightly pop and funkier deeper grooves in order to touch the heart, body and mind.  “Warm Spirit” opens the release and sets the mood with sparse percussion and dubby pads, on a proper deep house vibe.
Brain Rays reworks Warm Spirit into a tripped out version with a chunky sound, and the other three originals tracks get jazzy. 
“Funk U” does exactly what it says on the tin, and is probably the most dance floor track in this EP, very funky indeed! 
“Dorsia” gets tranquil with hints of acid and more pop sounding with some nostalgic feelings

"Everyone's Memory" closes the EP with its sleazy saxophone part and with a strong Massive Attack “three” song  attitude, of a city night driving imagination.

22 Digit Records is run by William Reed (William Welt) and Peter Bartram (Pete Weasel/DEE.P). Peter is also the resident VJ for Newcastle-based clubbing institution, Shindig. 

The label has a firm focus on deep and percussive electronic music and has received regular support from key players, appearing in set listings by the likes of Richie Hawtin, Jozif and Richy Ahmed, among many others. 

As well as being featured digitally on compilations including the critically acclaimed 'Balance' mix CD series, 22 Digit presses limited runs of coloured marble-effect vinyl through its sub label, 22 Digit LTD.  

While focusing on a close family of core artists, the label also releases music from other producers that share its vision. These have included Matt Tolfrey, Ekkohaus, Trus’me and Moodymanc to name but a few.
