Need a Name - White Truffle

André Obin is young and very talented producer and vocalist from Cambridge, Massachusetts. Having previously released on Ghostly International and Moodgadget he now sets out to conquer the old continent with his trademark indie/dance crossover sound. “Soft Rain” is pure 21st century pop music – strong on melody, song structure and with undeniable roots in today's club culture. It is this trademark sound that has earned Obin live appearances alongside likeminded musicians as M83, Matthew Dear or The Field.
The “Soft Rain” package is completed by remixes done by Trouw residents Melon and Patrice Bäumel. Melon turns the track into a muscular house monster while Bäumel delivers a shiny, hypnotic interpretation. André Obin himself slows things down and goes all shoegaze with his own epic Fascination Mix. 
Marking the second release on Trouw following Bäumel's debut album “Vapour”, “Soft Rain” demonstrates the musical openmindedness and playful approach that also characterises Trouw as a club. We are proud and happy to welcome a new promising artist to the family.

This is truly the most wonderful time of the year - purely magical. And I think it ought to be accompanied by music which beckons nostalgic warmth. This version of Dwell was born of late nights at a piano...always wondering if the melodies of the original could be rewritten in a rather free and spontaneous fashion. This is what emerged. It is best enjoyed under a star-lit sky as the snow falls  - of course with several angels & baby deer in your midst as you sip hot drinking chocolate. Merry Christmas and enjoy the free (and uncompressed) download!

I still remember celebrating 100 followers 2 years ago, daydreaming about a music carreer. I cannot be happier than this, and it is all thanks to you.

This song was recorded while thinking about a relationship that never had the chance to become real. 
There is no sadness, nor regrets, but a feeling of wanting to forget the past and just look forward. We do not have time to waste on our past.
