Michael Gondwe (22) who is originally Zambian born in 1994, but now permanently resides in South Africa and is from Germiston, the seat of the Ekurhuleni metropolitan in Gauteng. Michael is an up-coming recording rap/hip-hop artist and goes by the stage name of Micky - G. Michael's passion for rapping began when he started writing poems at age (9), this was a way in which he often vented his emotions. At age (15) he had fully fell into the rap/hip-hop and began writing rhymes and lyrics, where he soon began recording his lyrics onto downloaded instrumentals with his group of high school friends and there after performed often at his high school's talent show. Michael matriculated in 2012 at the age of (18) where he started working at a Pick n Pay store to continue with his studies in Boiler-making but experienced a few financial setbacks with his studies. he eventually decided to return to his roots of writing and recording his lyrics and rhymes, where he took it upon himself to dedicate his efforts on creating and elevating his rap career since 2015. Michael has worked on a mix-tape titled "Kid With Skills But No Deal" on which he had several features with his childhood friend Madoda-Azile Xaso in 2013. Michael is constantly new musical material and has unofficially dropped his very first extended project tape titled W.R.A.P.S - E.P consisting of seven tracks (currently available on Reverb Nation). Michael plans on growing his fan base through constantly promoting his recorded E.P (W.R.A.P.S) at local hip-hop events in and around his hometown of Germiston and on social media networking platforms such as Reverb Nation and Sound Cloud. Michael has already created already created a vibe for himself with the youth from his town recognizing his sound and production as different and refreshing. Michael often performs at local bars, clubs, lounges and at the community car wash including the Bonfaya Shisanyama located in Germiston at 14 Crown Street.
