TThis issue has become a cry of hope against the pandemic.
Master KG and Nomcebo are the creators of a success that knows no boundaries. They used to sing this song among friends and, with the arrival of the Coronavirus pandemic, it became popular in hospitals all over the world, where the health workers danced it to show that there was hope to defeat the Covid-19.
erusalem is written in the Venda language, spoken in South Africa, and its lyrics speak of Jerusalem as the heavenly city in which to commune with God. It is a mystical hymn to life where it sings of the city of Jerusalem as a fraternal home for the whole world. From there verses like "Jerusalem is my home, save me and walk with me, don't leave me here". Or others like: "My place is not here" "my kingdom is not here".

When Master KG devised this song, he knew that the only person who could put a voice to it was Nomcebo, he went looking for it and as soon as they heard it they fell in love with it. They were aware that if they wanted the song to have international projection, the ideal would be to write it in English. However, they never thought that they would end up creating a worldwide phenomenon and decided to compose it in the language they felt most comfortable with, in blindfold, being faithful to their origins and roots.

Jerusalem was born in December 2019 as a gospel song, afro-house, composed by Dj Master KG, original from Limpopo in South Africa. However, it did not reach the height of success until February or March 2020.

erusalema está escrita en idioma venda, hablado en Sudáfrica y su letra habla de Jerusalén como la ciudad celestial en la que estar en comunión con Dios. Se trata de un himno místico a la vida donde canta a la ciudad de Jerusalén como un hogar fraternal para todo el mundo. De ahí versos como "Jerusalén es mi casa, sálvame y camina conmigo, no me dejes aquí". O también otros como: "Mi lugar no está aquí" "mi reino no está aquí".

Cuando Master KG ideó esta canción, supo que la única persona que podía ponerle voz era Nomcebo, fue a buscarla y en cuanto la escucharon se enamoraron de ella. Eran conscientes de que si querían que la canción tuviera proyección internacional, lo ideal sería que la escribieran en inglés. Sin embargo, ellos nunca pensaron que acabarían creando un fenómeno mundial y decidieron componerla en el idioma que más cómodos se sentían, en venda, siendo fieles a sus orígenes y raíces.

Jerusalema nació en diciembre de 2019 como una canción gospel, afro-house, compuesta por el Dj Master KG, original de Limpopo en Sudáfrica. Sin embargo, no llegó a la cumbre del éxito hasta febrero o marzo de 2020.
