The first release on the Dubai based 264 Records arrives in the form of AELI’s “Late Future Calls”, a symbiosis of futurist beats and bass heavy sounds. Blending North African motifs with modern sound design techniques, AELI has developed something unique as he comes into his own sound. Defying modern and classic forms of hip-hop and even rock, AELI has taken a musician’s approach to the album; programming, sampling and even playing all the instruments himself, while experimenting with Tunisian spices in an effort to pay homage to his roots.

Having previously worked with MCs and rappers on his first album, Ali Aloulou made a conscious shift towards working on instrumental music, free of the constraints of working with vocalists and able to express his own vision, intents and heritage through a keenly crafted and subtly chosen palette of sounds.

The album takes two distinct yet cohesive paths, mirroring AELI’s moods as he went through the process of producing this album. Chapter 1 is a take on Ali’s recent infatuation with progressive, instrumental music drawing on his influences from the likes of Nine Inch Nails and The Mars Volta. Chapter 2 professes his deep love for hip-hop, where AELI brings out his experience in beat making and looping. 

With this release, AELI has managed to create an intricate and beautiful journey that sits comfortably both at home, on the road or on dancefloors.

The 264 Cru often hosts collab workshops with their travelling guests and local producers to help them grow and develop. A few months back another freebie was born out of a similar collaboration between Jarreau Vandal (@jarreauvandal) and AELI (@aelimusic), whom released his debut album on 264 Records early last year. 
These collab sessions were the inspiration to create the forthcoming "Late Future Calls Remixed" a new EP soon to drop on 264 Records July, 6th featuring remixes by some international heavy hitters as well as local Dubai producers.
