MUTEK Montréal is a multi-venue celebration of digital creativity held in the city’s cultural heart. 

Each year, the festival devotes itself platforming artists and thinkers working across electronic music, sound and visual arts, and invites them to come together in Canada’s second largest city for a sprawling six days of events.

Today, we’re presenting a two-part live mix series, recorded at the festival’s 24th edition earlier this year. This set from E-Saggila is a tantalising sneak peek of new material from the Iraq-born, Toronto-based DJ and producer, slated for release next year. A deliciously intense listen.

The first Unsound Podcast recorded live at the 2023 Kraków festival is from Rama, a Berlin-based Egyptian DJ who’s notorious for her technical and ornate patchworks of mutant club music and rap. She also curates the Irsh imprint and event series alongside ZULI, using it to shine a spotlight on artists from the Levant.
Rama’s set closed out one of Unsound’s club nights with drama, inventiveness and adventure, tracking through UK bass music styles, Brazilian funk, dubstep and drill, and gesturing towards the future.

Akin to his releases – such as last year’s 'Cunti' – Reptilian Expo channels a playful vibrancy here that takes a distinctly narrative approach. Live from Lost Music Festival: Reptilian Expo

Framework presents the first edition of TOWER Imports, a limited mix series designed to incorporate international artists into New York's TOWER project. 

The inaugural mix comes from experimental Italian musician, DJ, & producer @ikavapii. Exploring abstract and detailed club-adjacent music with releases on @earlyreflex and @pampsychia, the London-based artist driven by a playful approach to sound design and unconventional structures. With this mix, they initiate explorations of waterlogged sonics in preparation for the next edition of TOWER, February 29 at Bossa Nova Civic Club in Brooklyn.
