Taking his future-facing vision to Fluid Electronics, after years of quietness, Dutch producer The Moderator (real name Klaas-Jan Jongsma) reignites the flame with his new opus, “Space Age Sunshine EP”. Comprised of four tracks that run the gamut from atmospheric techno to low-slung electro, via ambient-leaning abstraction and sci-fi-indebted audio scenarios, this new iteration takes us on a trip way up unknown galaxies and uncharted sonic escapes.

Starting with the supremely spacious title-track, “Space Age Sunshine” has us surfing smoother-than-smooth synthwaves and strips of cosmic dust, as sleek textures and poignant strings converge in a symbiotically arranged unfolding of layers, taking us deeper and deeper with every bar. Up on remix duty, EevoLute boss Stefan Robbers aka Terrace serves up a more choppy, intricate rendition, expanding the track’s modular traits and bouncy backbone to compelling effect.
