Finally releasing some OG music from the legends that are @0n4b, bar(a)ca was recorded in the early phase of 0N4B where they’ve been shaping their sound during long studio sessions and exploring their formalist approach towards music, away from any narratives and "world changing" ideas. Since then the duo has released their debut, dots followed by Supra/Infra/Intra. 

0N4B are @mostafa-o and @rami-abadir [Cairo, Eg]. The project is considered experimental in nature, featuring complex rhythm patterns, heavy focus on glitches, subtle melodies alternating between passages of ambience.

We kick off 2020 with @realvanboom 'MORFEUS' which manifests sounds drawn from early 2000s bass music and industrial club, with the bullheaded desire to create floor-shattering tracks.

'MORFEUS' is influenced primarily by the horror media that had stuck with Van Boom since childhood, namely 'Resident Evil'. By channeling the feel of those works, Van Boom has coloured the complexity of this EP's raw drums with dread and aggression.

Also featuring unique and savage remixes from @mynameisbulma, @ansystem, & @thegn-joynet.

We are stoked to present our first release of 2022 HYYDDDRR8 by Copenhagen artist Hedo Hydr8 (@hedohydr8). Their first Debut EP is laden with heavy hitting experimental club music - this producer is one to watch so keep your ears peeled.

Artist statement:

Most of the EP was created when dancefloors were half-forgotten, which allowed for new ways of approaching the rave toolkit. I wanted to create tracks that blur the edges of hard dance music, because my experiences with club music suddenly wasn't as compartmentalized. The club being inaccessible as a delimited space, bled into my living room, my relationships, my walks and talks - I began conversing with and morphing into something new.

I composed these hardcore clubscapes in this weird haunted state. I wanted the EP to be a sort of mid-liminal still the liquefaction of the rave music I'm into. The foundation of HYYDDDRR8 is still connected to its functional origins, but there's a sense of a morphing purpose - the experience is meant to be both bodily and cerebral. At the same time the intensity of the club experience is amplified and warped by memory, and the boundaries and impressions of a multitude of genres fuse into one expression.

Rapala700 (@rapala700) & Nahshi's (@nahshi) 'Aera' EP is a genuine transposition of the music they play out / image they have of club music right now. A collaborative project born out of spontaneity and mutual respect, it links Rapala700ʼs percussion with Nahshiʼs melodies. 'Aera' is an attempt to merge their styles and explore fresh ground, culminating with three unique remixes from Exploited Body (@exploitedbody), Rui Ho (@ruiho), & Paul Marmota (@paul-marmota).

Premiere: Van Boom - DOOM ft. Matt Tecson

We kick off 2020 with @realvanboom 'MORFEUS' which manifests sounds drawn from early 2000s bass music and industrial club, with the bullheaded desire to create floor-shattering tracks.

'MORFEUS' is influenced primarily by the horror media that had stuck with Van Boom since childhood, namely 'Resident Evil'. By channeling the feel of those works, Van Boom has coloured the complexity of this EP's raw drums with dread and aggression.

Also featuring unique and shattering remixes from @mynameisbulma, @ansystem, & @thegn-joynet.

Van Boom's Morfeus manifests sounds drawn from early 2000s bass music and industrial club, with the bullheaded desire to create club-shattering tracks.

What has influenced Morfeus the most is the horror media that had stuck with Van Boom's life since child- hood, namely 'Resident Evil'. By channeling the feel those works convey, Van Boom has colored the complexity of this EP's raw drums with dread and aggression.

Featuring remixes by international club staples Thegn (Absurd Trax), Bulma (Suicide Club, WDIS, Symbols), AN System (Tar, Jerome) and a feature by Matt Tecson (Bedouin Records).

0N4B 'bar(a)ca' is a project of complex rhythm patterns, heavy focus on glitches, subtle melodies alternating between passages of ambiance.
