Superpitcher and Idjut Boys remix Radio Slave’s ‘Wake Up’.

Radio Slave’s spoken word slow-burner ‘Wake Up’ dropped on Rekids March ‘23, winning support from the likes of Roman Fluegel, Louise Chen and Red Axes and continuing a run of singles that explores the house and disco roots of the iconic British UK/Producer. Now, he invites Kompakt affiliate and Hippie Dance co-founder Superpitcher alongside UK duo Idjut Boys to reimagine ‘Wake Up’ on a fresh 12”. 

The original ‘Wake Up’ saw Matt Edwards, aka Radio Slave, utilise low-slung grooves and an iconic speech-like vocal. Superpitcher remixes the track first, turning it into an acid-infused trip with its vocal samples echoing through cavernous, dubbed-out soundscapes. On the flip, we see Idjut Boys turn up the flange in their hypnotic version while maintaining the original’s bassline and stripping back the vocal to eerie whispers.

LACCHESI IS A FRENCH ARTIST, PARISIAN-BASED, DJ, PRODUCER OF ELECTRONIC MUSIC AND LABEL OWNER.

From a young age, Lorenzo Lacchesi was immersed in music. Growing up surrounded by CDs—thanks to his parents working at Philips—he explored everything from rock to jazz and classical. As a teenager, he studied piano, played bass in various bands, and discovered electronic music at 15, drawn by the French Touch movement. After high school, Lorenzo pursued sound engineering, worked at Radio France, and co-founded his first techno label, Péché Mignon, with friends.

Becoming Lacchesi, his focus shifted to warehouse techno. His first major bookings came through the Parisian scene where he refined his industrial and rave-influenced sound. During this period, he teamed up with Jakob Saulière to launch his second label, Maison Close, a platform for emerging talent with an eclectic and hybrid musical vision. Lacchesi’s sound balances minimalist techno with trance, taking cues from artists like Regent, The Advent, Mathys Lenne, Rrose, Helena Hauff, Spekki Webu, W92. Known for his fast-paced, high-energy DJ sets, he crafts introspective journeys with jittery melodies, minimal grooves, and experimental elements. His productions, however, span a broader spectrum, from hard-hitting techno and uptempo beats to glitchy IDM and ambient soundscapes.

Lacchesi has released music on labels like Mama Told Ya, EXTRA ENERGY, Matière, BCCO, and Bipolar Disorder. His own label, Maison Close, has seen him release tracks on various compilations, as well as two LPs: P*NK (2021) and Based On A True Story (2024). He remains a prominent figure in the scene, consistently surrounded by close-knit circle of friends like Mac Declos, Kuss, and more recently, Vel. His standout remix of Baraka’s track «Half Faces» has racked up nearly 2M listens. This fall, 2024 marked a major milestone with his impactful debut at Boiler Room, further solidifying his presence in the scene. 

Fashionwise, Lacchesi’s Italian heritage shapes his fashion sense. His close relationship with the brand La Maskarade highlights his distinct style, showcasing bold and avant-garde designs that reflect his musical daringness and personal flair. 

Lacchesi’s love for loops and his relentless pursuit of harmony drive his high-octane, multigenre sets. Known for creating intense, rollercoaster-like journeys, he builds tension to the point where the body can’t take it anymore, only to offer a full, euphoric release. His performances are wild and fiery, embodying his Mediterranean energy, Italian temperament, and playful humor. Curious about everything—people, sounds, and experiences—he brings an infectious energy to the club, leaving the dance floor in a frenzy. Lacchesi thrives on resilience, laughter, and sweat, always pushing the limits to deliver unforgettable moments.

After trying several dancefloors in the early 2000’s, Hubbe NdZ Maschine started to act as a DJ bringing his own equipment in the clubs to play with his audio CDs.
He started to play in the city of Arles in the south of France and created a collective of artists (Natural Groove) and the Happy Garden Party. Then he became the resident DJ of the DV1 club in Lyon and play in many festivals like Nuits Sonores, Hypnotik, Akivai, …
In 2009, he decided to have a break in order to release his own tracks known as 2CLIC and sign on Noisebuilder labels(Heteric System) on Junky Robots Records and Auditive Texture, 
This is how he started to play more techno music than deep-house and minimalist, using the Maschine ( Traktor 4 desks system) to develop a new way of DJ mix. His sets became more live with more filters, samples, loops, …Everything became possible for him.
Resolutely more techno, his music is very emotional, hypnotic and powerful, an undeniably deep universe that has been noticed with Richie Hawtin or Radio Slave during his last performances.
