The space track Quadrennium by Nikola Melnikov and Max Sorokin charmed not only the audience, but also our friendly musicians. Enveloping melodies in subtle matter from the first minutes, the composition draws the image of an alien utopia. The remixes of the track are a collective fantasy of six artists about other worlds approaching us along musical waves. Flirting with the ideas of Nikola and Max, the musicians work their way through the event horizon, striving for the unique sound of each of the Quadrennium satellite tracks. 6 artists - 6 inventions for interplanetary travel through musical teleportation. 2DIY4 („to die for“, the sublabel of Diynamic Music) is embarking onto a new journey. With this next release 2DIY4 is starting a new chapter in its history, turning away from the classic 4/4 House formula and towards new, outstanding and sincere Indie Downtempo Electronica music.

With a highly artistic approach, it aims to paint a holistic picture that shapes its identity with all inherent components - sonic and visual. The golden thread that runs through it all is the question “what would you die for?” – creatively replied to by the artists.

The first artist under the label’s new identity is Lunar Plane, consisting of identical twin brothers Emre and Mert from Istanbul. They answered: “We would die for each other, so the first thing comes to mind is twinhood.” Together with LA-based October’s Child on the vocals, they deliver the first of many chilling Electronica EPs for 2DIY4.

"Nōpi is a newborn producer project from Ukrania. Established in early 2019, Nōpi was able to score releases on significant labels and his continuous flow of giveaways has quickly gained him some recognition. We are happy to help the young talent on his rise to the top and showcase 2 groovy, melodic house tracks, supported by our dreamy family-members Yoni Yarchi and Daniel van der Zwaag.

Daynight is able to deliver a bouncy and energetic baseline groove, further enforced with tight shakers and warm percussions. Gentle piano chords and soothing vocals are layered upon the bases and build a coherent atmosphere, that is characterized by subtle textures and smartly placed pad-sweeps.

With peculiar tension, main title track "The Forest" opens up its intro. A collaborating space of fieldrecordings set the mood of this song, while patient piano melodies and a warm, low-end bassline push the production forward. Subtle chants and an array of pads, create a haunting atmosphere - An adventure of mystical soundscapes, that is reshaped by our NWS-dreamers Yoni Yarchi and Daniel van der Zwaag.

Yoni's remix immediately takes a brighter and life-affirming turn, by implementing an uprising & warm bassline, energetic percussions and a flourishing synth, that is playful and charming. Elevating pads and charismatic textures, give Yoni's take and innocent feel in the most positive way.

A beafy low-end and hypnotic rhythmics are the foundation of Daniel van der Zwaag's deeper approach. The symbiosis of the lonely piano with wide and open soundscapes, create the atmosphere of a lonely walk in the woods. The complementing layers of a pushing groove and an intimate top create an interesting feel, that keeps up the mystery of the original, fortifies it and reflects the story of a forsaken place.

Anastasia had her passion for music ever since she was a kid. It started out slowly, but grew into something she knew would be her life eventually. She was born in Russia, moved to Latvia, then spent 7 years in Denmark and is now on her way to move to Spain. While living in Denmark, she realized that she wants to produce and play music, after trying other things it was clear that music was the answer. Quickly enough, her name was seen in all major cities of Denmark, including Aalborg, Aarhus and Copenhagen. Anastasia likes to take her sets in all possible directions, playing all the different music she enjoys herself. She felt a never ending drive and passion for producing too, so her releases did not wait to be shown to the world. Still experimenting, she believes in not labeling herself with a genre, but rather keep exploring and focusing on what is it that gives the music its special feeling, the one that makes you want to close your eyes and enjoy. Whether at a party or alone at home, she always looks for inspiration. When it comes to her own music, it’s a must for her that it inspires herself! That’s what happened with “When You Dance”. The deep melodies that soothe her soul and groovy beats that make her want to dance is what she wanted to share with you with this release.
