The utterly innoncent, undying and unconditional nature of the type of love which is harbored by dogs towards their humans is something to die for.

Hailing from Istanbul, halting in Berlin for education and currently residing in Vienna, the studied producer Wapi (born Cem Erkmen) presents his „Don’t Go“ EP.
And this title, in only two words, perfectly summarizes what this record feels like in four acts: incomprehension of separation; the melancholy of good bye; the slowly fading warmth of touch; and finally, the undying hope and yearning for return.
All this wrapped in gentle but demanding electronica sound.

Poker Flat Recordings never disappoints. La Terra is another exquisite release, this time from New York mainstay George Morel (@georgemorel) and the deep vibes of Rowee (@roweemood). Morel has been leaving impressions on club goers and listeners alike for two decades, and has a killer back catalogue featuring releases in Groove On Records, Get Physical Music, Kittball, Suara, Circle music and more. Teaming up with the Italian producer Rowee, also known as Leonardo Gonnelli, the pair share a release featuring two cuts of pure deep heat.

'La Terra' is a burner that chugs along via an urgent rhythm section, before introducing numerous curveball synths, arps, acidic squiggles and more.

'Rushing Through the Mind' sees Rowee take to the controls solo, and dives right into his signature deep, hypnotic grooves. Over 8 plus minutes this deep tech house bomb mutates and expands into a pure dancefloor moment.

This November, Ruede Hagelstein steps up to remix a Sawlin single that featured on the fantastic recent Berlin Gets Physical compilation.

The original version from techno mainstay and Delsin regular Sawlin was one of the standout tracks of the mix, and is presented here in original format. It is a superbly deep and dubbed out techno track that sinks you into its echoing hits and rolling kick drums and keeps you there for the duration.

Ruede Hagelstein, meanwhile, is part of the German underground thanks to forward thinking releases on the likes of Souvenir and Watergate. This marks his debut on Get Physical and finds him reinterpret the original with a unique style of his own. He flips the track into a mysterious and rolling affair with plenty of warmth from the pillowy kick drums and an intriguing lead flute line that charms you and
takes you on a real journey.

These are two terrific tracks, each with their own identity and indelible impact.

Italian producer and Fine Human Records label head Dino Lenny lands on Crosstown Rebels for the first time this November, bringing his distinct and personal style to the label on the absorbing Doctor, also featuring a remix from Nuiton.

The haunting, emotive vocals of Dino impress throughout on Doctor, chugging groove moves alongside waves of dark electronics and panic-struck, devilish synth. A track crafted to capture the inner workings of Lenny’s mind, transforming them into a hypnotic piece. Nuiton remixes Doctor on the reverse, adding energy to the original with skipping hats and quirky arrangements, building tension that reaches an intense jazzy crescendo of percussion and brass to leave you in a headspin. On the digital release a dub version loses the voice but retains the mysticism.

With almost 30 years of releasing records under his belt, Dino Lenny has naturally built an incredible back catalogue of remixes and collaborations. He’s worked with some of the biggest names in the business, yet his productions retain a unique style that is all his own. A true lover of the 80s, when he needs that extra touch he will add his vocals to the music, always trying to deliver something original that will stand the test of time, often opting for imperfect unique experience over precise emotionless never-ending loops. Matthias Meyer and Ryan Davis re-link for another superb outing on Watergate.

If you know, you know. Matthias Meyer and Ryan Davis make sweet music together, like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie once made babes. Tunes that melt you into the floor and roll dancefloors from Tulum to Tblisi. Their debut collaboration ‚Hope‘ was a dawning highlight of 2017 and Beatport Deep House no.1, while ‚Love Letters from Sicily‘, was a lustrous late summer anthem, reinforcing their knack for the sublime.

Their latest opus ‚Crying Juno / Cafuné‘ begins where its predecessors left off, taking life after Matthias and Ryan exchanged ideas back and forth over a period of months before finally settling in the former’s Holzmarkt studio in Berlin to finish giving the tracks their form. Together they’ve crafted a masterful yin and yang between joy and melancholy. ‚Crying Juno‘ is the buoyant leader, propelled by an insistent groove and ‘80s synths, both bittersweet and undeniably uplifting. ‚Cafuné‘ continues with the orchestral themes that gave us ‚Hope‘, as sweeping strings and keys swell over a bed of delicate percussion, gradually building into a delicious groove.
