In this episode we take a break from the deep philosophical topics of this season to have a little fun.  We decided to play "Would You Rather".  If you haven't played this game before, join in with us!  It's simple you have two scenarios and you have to choose the one you would rather have to deal with.  Some are a lot harder than others as you will find out when you play along with us.  Feel free to play with a friend or use some of the scenarios to play with a friend. Ep. 7: Don’t take things for granted

There are a lot of things we take for granted without even realizing it.  The biggest thing we can take for granted is time.  If you sleep 8 hours and work 8 hours a day you lose 16 hours of your 24 instantly.  If you have to get ready and commute to work you lose even more of the remaining 8 hours of your day.  Don’t forget to factor in meals or anything else we need to do during the day.  What do you do with the remaining few hours of the day? Do you take that time for granted? 
We share several stories of things we have taken for granted and something that we don’t take for granted.  Remember the small things and enjoy the finer things in life.  Don’t take anything for granted, take care of yourself, all your possessions, and all the people around you.

Ep. 8: Don’t Lie, We All Judge

We always say we don’t judge people, but everyone does it.  It is part of our cognitive reasoning to judge and make decisions based on our surroundings, to judge whether our surroundings are safe or not.  Don’t judge too soon or judge a book by its cover.  

In this episode we share a couple stories from our lives that show how judging someone based on first impressions or looks can be very wrong from the true character or personality of the person.  

Josiah shares a story of a coworker who has long hair, long facial hair, lots of tattoos, and rides a Harley.  He says he is one of the nicest guys he has ever met.  He admits he never would have thought that without working with him and getting to know him.  He says he looks very rough and tough and didn’t judge him too early by only his appearance, but rather got to know him and found out he is super nice and hilarious.  

Steven shares a story of when he and Josiah worked together at a warehouse.  There was another coworker that later admitted that she once thought Steven was a stuck up kid with nice clothes and belongings.  She judged based on a first impression that Steven wore jeans and a nice sweater every day to a warehouse job.  She later apologized for her misconception after getting to know Steven better and actually became good friends.  

When we look at someone we try to put them in a category or stereotype.  Often times we label people by the first impression we get of them.  These are often wrong because someone’s appearance doesn’t determine their personality or character.  

If you see someone in public that is wearing nasty dirty clothes and looks like slob what do you think? Do you think they are homeless or a lower class and don’t have anything? What if they are very hard workers and are dirty and have dirty clothes due to their job working hard for their living?  They could be the nicest person you meet, but you may not know if you judge them to be poor or homeless rather than being a hard worker.

Ep. 9: What Will be my Legacy?

In this episode we dive into the concept of what will we be leaving behind after we leave the earth?  We start off by asking each other a few questions that make us think about where we are in life right now and where we want to be in the future.  
How would you be leaving the planet? 
How would you be leaving your family and relatives?  
How do you want to be remembered? 
Do you want to be remembered as the person who was just average and made bills and didn’t do much else, or do you want to have something more fulfilling?

Ep. 10: Grow Up but Don’t Grow Old

In this helium filled episode we explain why you are never too old to have fun! 

Steven talks about how he will grow old physically, but never wants to grow up mentally.  He wants’ to always have fun and be a crazy old man that will go go-karting with his grandkids.  Josiah says with all the things going on today you need to just have fun.  Go put whoopee cushions under seats, saran wrap toilets or whatever other pranks you can think of.  

Steven then goes off topic sharing stories of a few good pranks he’s done in the past.  Steven was living with a friend for a while and decided to start a prank war by turning everything in his house backwards.  He turned all the couches, chairs, and the TV. Steven even pulled out and turned around the dishwasher! When Steven came home from work he found only a few things turned back around that they wanted to use.  But when he walked into his room he found a giant white water raft laying across his bed.  Steven decides to fight back with another prank by moving all the furniture to block a path from his roommate’s room all the way to the door outside.  

Steven then shares a story of one of the craziest pranks he has ever pulled off.  Steven managed to pull a complete stop sign out of the ground and carry it with the concrete base and put it in one of his friend’s cars! A feat to this day none of his other friends know how he did it!

Ep. 11: Dress for What You Desire

In this episode we talk about surround yourself with people you aspire to be and dressing for success.  Steven shares his insight into getting to know a lot of local business owners through networking while he was in school for entrepreneurship.  He has always wanted to own and run his own business so he has tried to surround himself with other people that own businesses to gain insight, knowledge, and experience into the business world. 

Follow your role model and learn from them to achieve your dreams.  How can you leverage what you learn from your role model?

Steven and Josiah agree that they both prefer to dress up.  It makes them feel more professional and gives them more of a drive when they are dressed up.  If you want to be successful it all comes down to your attitude and how you handle your goals. 

The last part of this episode is an update on what we are doing with our production and what we have planned for the future of the podcast.  We have a lot of great things coming and great new plans.  Starting with season 3 there will be some great changes that will greatly improve the quality and content of our podcast.

2 doods are two dudes who only have a few things in common, yet have managed to stay friends for 10 years.  The glue that holds this friendship together is having a messed up sense of humor and similar “no shame” personalities.  We decided to let the world in on the wonderful, magical, mystical, fairy-tale like thoughts that run through our minds every single minute.  Steven brings the bachelor lifestyle to the podcast, while Josiah brings the tied-down lifestyle.  Steven has too much free time on his hands, often getting himself in trouble in stupid situations, while Josiah is too busy working.  Steven spends all his money on stupid useless things for himself that he never uses, while Josiah doesn’t get to spend his money.  Together, somehow, Steven and Josiah make up the 2 doods podcast.  Join us on the magical Willy Wonka-like journey through our minds!
