Excellent lecture by Abu Iyad on sincerity and humility. A must listen lecture for anyone that wishes to remind himself of sincerity.

Every person knows his own intentions so the one who is sincere is gentle,  so Allah will deal with him according to that. The one who is opposite to this Allah will deal with him accordingly.

So the one who seeks the life of this world <Allah will hasten it to him.

"Whosoever desires the life of the world and its glitter; to them We shall pay in full (the wages of) their deeds therein, and they will have no diminution therein. They are those for whom there is nothing in the Hereafter but Fire; and vain are the deeds they did therein. And of no effect is that which they used to do." (Hud 11:15-16)

The outcome the end result is that in the hereafter they will be given nothing because they have been paid in full, they did not desire the hereafter.

Today's Khutbah by Ustadh Rayan Barker, was a reflection upon the Salaf- Our Pious Predecessors- from The Sahaabah (Companions of the Prophet Salllahualayhiwasallam) and those after them. 

The lecture gave us an insight into how the Salaf strove towards improving themselves in the religion. The reminder gives us chance to  reflect on ourselves and our actions; and how we should protect and preserve our religion and our hearts.
