We’ve been following Tonito Yama (aka Antoine 80) for some time so it’s about time we share this beautiful mini album with you. “The Myth Crumbles, the Mystery Remains” is a personal exploration and modern interpretation of jazz music where the dark bits meet the dub and bass-heavy sounds in the most harmonious way.

Tonito Yama is a creature from the dreams, a chimera with two ears. It’s a side project, an usurping identity that takes over. Tonito Yama likes to mix things up, in fact he mixes everything up. In this case, we’re talking about dark jazz, investigations, dub and films noirs, in short, we’re swimming in a complete mystery… How does he do it? He’s still wondering…

For this final show of the year, Detective Tonito Yama returns to the core elements of his investigation, code-named “The Myth Crumbles, the Mystery Remains.”  In a sharp trench coat and rain-soaked hat, he presents a wealth of clues gathered during his nocturnal wanderings through the city streets. His path leads him through dubious clubs where seemingly anonymous figures sometimes reveal themselves to be mythological, carrying him beyond the urban landscape and almost to the very edge of imagination itself. One thing is certain: after this remarkable and enigmatic investigation, it is definitely not a “case closed.”
