It's been a hot minute since I've put a F|S mix out! But as the weather gets warmer, pandemic restrictions are lifting, & there's finally a sense of optimism and genuine stoke about the future in the air, I've been finding myself loving the groovy tunes of house/disco/throwbacks & the like. 

This mix is a collection of tracks intended to create joy – listen while you're hanging out with friends, enjoying the sunshine, starting your day, or just want to get a good dance in. Here's to summer, to returning to dancefloors, and to that moment of pure bliss when you're lost in the sound. Enjoy!

"Hey hey dance music lovers!  Sage Farris here……I’m super pumped to be featured on Wulfcast and big thanks to Aaron Jacobs for asking me to submit a mix!  This extended studio mix is the lovechild  of two live sets that I’ve played - one an unofficial sunset and beyond set at SoundGarden Camp at the All Day I Dream festival; and the other a late night offering at Dead Ringer Analog Bar in Reno on “The Deep Down” monthly put on by Burning Man camp The Bureau of Hindsight. 

As a new-ish resident of SF, I’m excited and blessed to have some great opportunities coming up to show the Bay who I am and what I like to do on the decks:

7/16: Public Works: Airpusher Collective’s Steampunk Masquerade 
7/23: The Midway: Diplo’s Menagerie
8/14: 7th West Oakland: Candy Mountain Disco w/ DJ Dan & Diva Danielle

On the festival side of things, on 7/29, I’ll be playing the “By the People” gathering alongside many fantastic artists including two of my favorites - Volo and Yohm.  Also, following my recent set at Stilldream,  I’m stoked to be playing again at the Blue Mountain Event Center this summer - @ StarVibes July 30 & 31:  I’ll be providing two sets - an Ecstatic Dance offering as well as a late afternoon house set handing off to the amazing David Hohme.

I thought this recording was lost forever, but found it on an old USB stick. This sunrise set was really special for me, camping with Garage Mahal and DJing on the Ganesh art car. Great memories.

After almost a half year away, The Garden Party returned at its new home in the Public Works loft to celebrate the arrival of spring. Under the vines, we danced, grooved, smiled, laughed, and loved with the YW family. It was a beautiful thing to be home amongst the flowers again. The venue, previously known as Firestone is a legendary location in the city and the perfect place for an evening with John and myself. The venue was packed and all my friends and family were there, making it a truly special evening. Feeling the magnitude of the moment I thoughtfully set the pace for John weaving through styles and keeping the crowd on its toes. Happy listening.”

Here's my set from the 25th annual edition of the Friends and Family Summer Campout. I rerecorded it as there were a couple mixing glitches in the live version - nothing too heinous, but also nothing I wanted to hear every time I listen to this set in the future. So, made it right for posterity!  =) Sound-wise, this set has a slightly different sound palette for me and even has just a touch of a psy tech towards the end - a nod to Khromata who was following me, and also just some new sounds coming out of producers I've loved for years. So, dig those big, belching, growly synths! As always, massive thanks to everyone that made and makes FnF happen. Raving aint easy, and it remains so amazing that we're still here. Rock on!

The sunrise sets at the Nutz camp have become something of an institution during my annual pilgrimages to Burning Man. 

As per usual they come after a number of days burnt out in the desert on sleepless nights, untold stimulants and with a mind blown from excess stimulation and inspired by being surrounded by hundreds of beautiful, passionate people. 

This year's set followed on from a fire &amp; brimstone throwdown at Opulent Temple and I loved every single minute of it, especially when the 40ft UFO-platform appeared to 'shade' the dancefloor from the heat of the morning, and when during my fifth Bloody Mary of the morning, the BBQ arrived to ply us all with a seemingly endless supply of breakfast goodies.
