"It’s 2022. We are back on playa after the pandemic break. With us, Mayan Warrior in its natural habitat. 
 
We ride out in the middle of a dust storm, along with my chosen 100 tracks. The selection is inspired by what Mayan Warrior means to me. It represents the fusion between contemporary art and tradition. Crazy lasers over the handcrafted god’s eye. Unmatched sound coming from a millenary Mayan figure. A representation of what makes Mexico such a special place.

It’s a mix of old tracks I love and unreleased music from some of my favorite artists. A lot of it from Mexican artists and labels. As I am about to start, I see dozens of bikes powering through the storm. I trash my original plan on song 2 as I try to capture the moment. Eventually, a beautiful sunset emerges. This is my set on top of the Mayan Warrior.

I had the pleasure of playing my live set at the Maxa Deer Art Car at Burning Man last year. It almost felt like drifting through the cosmos on a flying sculpture. With a thumping sound system, open skies, and wild hearts all around, it was one for the books. 

Grateful for the ride, the energy, and everyone who showed up and danced with me out there.

 It was my first Fusion, definitely not the last. One of the most inclusive, affordable, sustainable and badass events I had a chance to see. The level of creativity, the quality of sound systems, the absence of authority or security, yet the feeling of safety and community. An impressive and powerful sonic city that shows us how the world can be when we work for a greater purpose, together, with strong values. 

This set represents a lot for me, after quite an heart opening trip in Beirut, Lebanon right before Fusion, getting closer to the war opened my eyes to the energies, challenges and times we are living in, while being fuelled and inspired by the beautiful resilience of people. ❤️

The dancefloor as a revolution. Music as a way to heal. The community as a foundation to rebuild the world from the heart space. 🌍   Gratitude to the Sonnendeck crew for the invitation, to everyone who came to dance for the morning session, and big love to old and new friends who made this journey memorable.

Performing a sunrise set at Maxa holds a truly special meaning for me and has become a cherished tradition over the years. The delicate yet powerful deer symbolizes something deeply personal, and sharing my music not only with the audience but also with incredible acrobatic dancers made the experience even more meaningful. It was an epic moment—one of my favorite mornings at that year's Burn. 🙏🏼

Christian acquired his love of electronic while growing up in the UK. It wasn’t until he moved to New York, however, that he would attend his first underground party and find the sound that would capture him and inspire him to step behind the decks himself. Since then, Christian has become a staple of the underground scene, a party enthusiast, and an avid techno tourist.

After some time as a free agent, Christian’s sophisticated taste in music earned him a residency for Bespoke Musik where he has entranced audiences with thoughtful, layered DJ sets. In 2021 he became a resident of Beachouse in Ibiza, where he provides the soundtrack for sunny days on Playa D’en Bossa. He has also recently joined the All Day I Dream roster, having contributed multiple videos to the All Day I Stream series, as well as being booked to play All Day I Dream events at Space Nightclub in Miami, Cova Santa in Ibiza, and the All Day I Dream festival in California.

His music blends a focus on the low end frequencies with a melodic, sometimes melancholic touch. The end result is just as suited to a nightclub dancefloor as a desert sunset, with enough versatility for everything in between.

Christian now manages the Bespoke Musik record label, as well as helping run the brand with the founder, Rocky Ramniceanu. The second release on the label was his collaborative ep with German All Day I Dream artist Powel, and marks his first foray into the music production field. The two met whilst sharing a lineup in Brooklyn, which marked the start of their musical partnership, as well as his first event as a Bespoke Musik resident.

Some of his notable bookings include Gazgolder and Leveldva in Moscow, Café D’ Anvers in Antwerp, Sisyphos in Berlin, Output and Cityfox in Brooklyn, Do Not Sit on the Furniture, Space and The Electric Pickle in Miami, Beachouse and Cova Santa in Ibiza, and Robot Heart, the 747, Miki Beach and Pink Mammoth at Burning Man.

Here is a glimpse back to 2010/11 when i first held my residency at the legendary Bembe. If you would have dropped in on a Monday night you would have found me along with Cumba Mela fam, Atropolis, Thornato and Brooklyn Shanti throwing down. Those days were truly special. So many moments and relations came from there. The place continues to be a gem in the underground global music community. So many cultures converge here. This mix is truly a time capsule.  Heavy on deep Colombian and hip hop cumbia vibes. Enjoy. Recorded at bembe in 2011  and dug up in 2016 for your listening pleasure. Still fresh.

One Night at Bembe

I'm happy to finally release my first extended set with you, recorded at StereoBar in Montreal. StereoBar is a club that's quickly jumped onto my shortlist of favorite venues in the world. Beyond the nailing the club fundamentals (sound system, layout, lighting, staff), they feature the "All Night" series where one DJ plays as opener, headliner, and closer. I love this format since it gives me the opportunity to build the energy from scratch and take the night in any direction without constraints.

But more importantly, I get to play for one of the most enthusiastic, supportive crowds that I've ever encountered. The energy from this night was the strongest I've felt in quite some time, certainly my best gig of the last year. Almost everything I threw out there worked, which actually makes me think that I might not have worked hard enough. There are many more sonic landscapes I'd love to explore, so hopefully I can come back again soon and we can take another journey in that special room...
