The name Pale Blue references “Pale Blue Dot,” Carl Sagan’s remark on the photograph of planet Earth taken by the Voyager 1 space probe in 1990. This new project was conceived around the time that Hurricane Sandy hit New York and came to completion with Mike Simonetti’s severance from Italians.  Thus, many of the tracks that make up The Past We Leave Behind grapple with themes of loss and new beginnings.

The Past… encompasses a myriad of sonic elements, ranging from rhythmic, melodic techno to atmospheric ambient productions, while also incorporating Simonetti’s varied background in noise, drone, and even experimental dream pop. Above it all though, Liz Wight’s vocals remain the focal point, saturating the record with a lush melodic warmth that’s so often missing in the electronic world.

'Oodnadatta Rain' sees Die Orangen (Kris Baha and Dreems) cloak a measured, half-time groove with shadowy new age mysticism typical of Malka Tuti. Fabrizio Mammarella's remix, on the other hand, plunges the label into uncharted territory. Offering more immediate thrills, the didgeridoo and brooding rainforest FX make way for drums reminiscent of early Belgian experimentations in electronic music. If Die Orangen's 10 minute opus resembles the bewitching soundtrack to a rain dance in the bush, the Mammarella remix transports you to mid-'80s Antwerp.

Exclusive Date with Elvis 'So Glad (Curses Remix)'

Based in Marseille La dame Noir Records has put out several pieces of music that adds value to today's highly competitive (music) market not necessarily following a certain genre but definitely a certain vibe. So far the label introduced us to artists such as Niv Ast, Elizier, Darkness Has Never Been So Bright, Motel 77 and Curses. The latter returns to the label with a remix for La dame Noir's latest EP, 'First Date Remixes', for Date With Elvis. Stylistically Curses' remix approach to 'So Glad' is a driving downtempo track with New Wave, Disco-ish and Rock-influences with few vocals snippets taken from the original but delightfully integrated into his version that's so strongly soaking its audience into the artist's groove that it is hard to free oneself from the thought if this version coming to an end. Curses delivers yet another piece of music that passes the spirit of times and lets one re-experience the aforementioned genres for a first time.

Date With Elvis' EP 'First Date Remixes' will be released on La dame Noir Records on September 20th, 2019.

Aurum Miles aka. Aurimas Mileöinas is producer/songwriter/dj from Lithuania, based in Vilnius. 
Born in late '80s with a Queen "A Kind of Magic" vinyl in the hands. 
Whole childhood he was inspired by Classic Rock and Shoegazing Brit Music. Later discovered world of electronic sounds by touching JUNO-6 for the first time, what made a substantial effect in his future life. 
After a lot of years of practising playing guitar, keyboards, drums and everything what make sounds, Aurum Miles finally started producing some kind of Weird Electronic music combining Rock, Psychededic and Electronic Sounds. Never settle to one style, always experimenting with compositions of different type of sounds. His production comes from pink to dark...from vanilla to chocolate...or...whatever. In short, you never know what to expect from Aurum Miles. 
In 2015 Aurum Miles was a member of temporary project BlowEnder. He influensed the bright and groovie side of BlowEnder style. 
Now, Aurum Miles is continuing producing electronic music and searching for new fresh sounds. 
You won't see Aurum Miles playing in the disco very often. But if you get lucky to witness that...just...please..."don't burn your house on Sunday morning".

PRÈMIÉRE: Aurum Miles - Don't touch my synths (Original mix) [ESTHÉTIQUE]

Playground Records (@playgroundrecords) starts 2021 without missing a beat. The ever-expanding Radial Gaze (@radialgaze) duo from Russia makes their debut on the label, loaded with frenetic rhythms, acid tribality and strident synthesis.

The first installment is the track 'Oracular Punch'. A rhythm of stabbing percussion that chases the response of some deity. As if following a rite with rising voices and dramatic modulations they ask the Pythoness to give an answer to the questions that are sought. Exorcist dance of deep surrender.

'Truly Wasted' is the second track and it doesn't lose momentum. Relentless with a great bouncing kick, sinister bass and acid melodies, sensual modulations go in an increase until exploding in a dense sonic layering. The melodies in Asian scales are getting sharp and tense until they go down again in a scattering of keyboard cushions. Without a doubt a different track which can be heard everywhere with a crazy combination of elements.

'Outward Tange' closes the delivery of originals with a flying but highly danceable track. A charming big bassline crosses a volatile arpeggio. A haunting joyful melody accompanies a stampede of tribal shouts that seems to unleash a horseback run down the hill. Like the musicalization of traveling through a landscape where the herd returns to the village after a happy victory. An ending of sweet melodies gives a hopeful tone and closes a conceptual aesthetic sound of the Ep.

The first remix comes from the hand of the Tel Aviv artist, Kino Todo who converts 'Oracular Punch' into a march of deep hypnotic roam. Making a constant repetition syncopated in eighth notes, sound layers are added generating altered states, leading us to an ecstatic dance. One of those tracks that looks for feets, chases you, entangles you and once it takes you it does not leave you until you are an exhausted prey surrendered to its captivating enchants.

Aristidez is in charge of remixing 'Truly Wasted'. With an infectious and slippery groove, a güiro in triplets takes us on a journey between minimalist and festive cadence, a small town guaracha celebration. The percussive trance takes you and does not leave you, the melodies lift you up and the devils come out to dance around the fire until dawn.
