The Unspoken Shame of Taking Up Space

call me crazy , ask what’s wrong … even find reasons to make me hate myself , shut myself off and refuse to be open . stare and ask yourself : “how doesn’t she know how beautiful she is ?” 

keep dreaming . keep thinking my sweetness is naivety . keep assuming my grace is in ignorance . keep studying the tiny bits i choose to show and accuse me of trying to be something i’m not … this is me . in all of my pain and dirt , i could never be rotten soil in the eyes of all that is Holy and pure . this is me in confidence . in shame . in sexuality . in limerence . in agony . in confusion . in imbalance . in the echo of a drum . i am full aware of the beauty i possess . i am full aware of the power i hold over my enemies that even a breath of peace fills them with rage . i am full aware that my love is too strong , too deep and intense for the average man . i am full aware that my final form may even be lightyears away . does that make me incomplete ? 

my scales tip and i become evil . the force in the snap of my fingers can pull you apart , worlds away and i have no qualms about it . 

… my scales level out and i become the reason you get down on one knee . 

when i become cold i can deny with warmth but my wrath is unmatched though silent . could you believe i’m the calm before the storm and the storm itself ? it’s ok . you can blame the aftermath on someone else
