"DREAMS." is a song written at one of the lowest points in my life. At the time, I had not given up on my vision (or dream), but my actions and my perception of myself seemed to demonstrate the opposite. I wrote this song as a way to uplift and encourage myself and dismiss the shackles of my own negativity.

Denver-based Latinx alternative rock-hip hop-reggaeton band 2MX2 is proud to announce the release of their powerful new single, "Si Se Puede," on September 13, 2024. This anthemic track, co-produced by long-time collaborator DMDtheproducer, embodies the spirit of unity and revolution at a time when the message of coming together is more important than ever.
"Si Se Puede" was originally inspired by Dolores Huerta's iconic phrase, coined during the United Farm Workers' movement. The song has evolved over the years, much like the band itself. After performing an earlier version of "Si Se Puede" at an anti-racist political march in Boulder, Colorado, where Dolores Huerta herself corrected their credit of the phrase to Cesar Chavez, the band made a commitment to carry the phrase forward in its rightful context. The 2024 version of the song, which features 2MX2's new guitarist Adrian Garay and drummer Kenny O, has become their most powerful iteration yet.
O1, a member of 2MX2, reflects on the song's impact, saying, "‘Si Se Puede’ shows the power of the people at every show when you see all the fists go in the air." This spirit of unity is reflected in the band’s performances and in their commitment to creating music that speaks for the marginalized and inspires action.
Timed to be released on the weekend of Mexican Independence Day, "Si Se Puede" serves as a call to action to transcend political division and embrace our shared humanity. As the U.S. gears up for the upcoming presidential elections, 2MX2 hopes this song will unite people across political lines and inspire them to work together for the betterment of all.
