i’m searching through frozen land
to find a fragment i have lost
though time resets and turns the hand 
the valley remains in frost

i carry the faces of those i've found
we rest at the edge of black
the end of the path winds back around
again the clock turns back

i have too many (???) it seems
each one an unpleasant fit
but when i slip into my dreams
time turns me back to bits 

this light has grown dim and meek

every night before i sleep 

i wish for a face - but can not seek

these wounds i have i’ll always keep
