The rapidly expanding label Elbaraka Family has recently welcomed moroccan duo, NDRK & Yacine Dessouki, to their already rich catalog of music with their newest single/EP titled 'Belarej', Featuring vocalist Nukad, the track is accompanied with a stellar extended remix from the label boss 'Mr. ID'.

Nader Khairi, aka NDRK and Yacine Dessouki, are up-and-coming music producers from Casablanca and London who have already cut their teeth producing tracks for labels such as Sapiens, Borders Of Light, Frau Blau and Eleatics Records.

Their sound is instantly recognisable and truly unique, as it draws upon a multitude of genres from indie dance, to melodic techno, to electronica and beyond.

This latest addition sees NDRK & Yacine Dessouki's debut with the label as we are treated to the duo's dreamy creations that come from many different places across the musical spectrum. 'Belarej' is a timeless and provocative listen.

As the original track opens, we are immediately met with a sense of urgency as a hurried refrain is accompanied by a steady, pulsating baseline. The bird-like call synths alongside the added noises and ambiances gives the track an other-worldly feel, contributing to a rich but mystical soundscape that makes the listener feel as though they've been transported to some mysterious landscape on a distant universe.

The consistent heartbeat bass and the rising and falling synths as though the track itself is alive and breathing of place as a soundtrack for an epic sci-fi as the duo skilfully builds tension, preparing the audience for what will not just be an simple listening experience, but rather an entire universe, built from the sounds that they generate.

The track breaks with a swarm of textures and strings, in which blossoms the spellbinding, yet slightly hypnotic voice of Nukad, contributing to the enigmatic mood.

She takes us into a transitional piece, guiding the listener from the pressing starting point into a curious, existing like a spell, captivating, softer arms of an antique Jewish-Moroccan chant.

The audience immediately enters a new stage of the listening experience filled with emotions and devotions. The lyrics could indeed only be understood by Maghrebin Arabic speakers but flawlessly felt by all audiences parched for a ride to a different destination on those special moments surrounded by loud speakers in a dark, sight-deprived room.

Now that we've been floating through the air and bouncing gently from cloud to cloud, the track revives itself all of a sudden, bringing the listener back with a high-energy beat..

Close your eyes, and 'Belarej' almost lifts us up and evaporates our soul into the skies, in-between the clouds as they move throughout the desert night.
