Nikko.Z's Dopamine White rounds out the month of April by welcoming Electric Dada to the label for their debut single. Made up of German artists Jan de Vice and JP Silence, the Electric Dada alias was revealed to the world in 2020. The duo's progressive style was immediately recognized for its emotive qualities and strong dancefloor sensibility. A transcendent sound which would see them go on to release key projects via Univack and Massive Harmony Records, while also earning the praise of the underground's tastemakers. Now, presenting their first single of 2023, Electric Dada debuts on Dopamine White with ‘Liquid Dope Skin', alongside a remix from Paul Deep.

Looking to diversify their portfolio further, Electric Dada calls on the vocal talents of Mawine. Together the trio craft a sweeping sonic experience all their own, where full key changing grooves and driving percussion set the course for emotive arps and balmy atmospheres. Mawine's breathy wails morph into boisterous chants making for a unique balance of elegance and power, while astral stabs and retro acid lines propel the track to an epic finale.

The release concludes with Paul Deep making his return on the label with the lone interpretation of 'Liquid Dope Skin'. With a career that spans the better part of a decade, the Argentinean artist has compiled an impressive resume along the way, landing releases via All Day I Dream, Tale & Tone, The Soundgarden and Sudbeat. World class DJs Lee Burridge, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren have all been steadfast supporters of Paul's sound, which often sits in the creative space between progressive and organic house. Dopamine Music has also been a regular landing spot for the Buenos Aires resident, with five appearances since making his label debut in 2017. Now, following a remix of ‘Cycles' by fellow countryman Juan Deminicis, Paul makes a welcome return to Dopamine with a heady take on ‘Liquid Dope Skin'. Rather than burst into a dancefloor whirlwind or electronic symphony, Paul's remix evokes its emotions through slow burn repetition, dodging expectations and emphasizing its conceptual charm; as crunchy rhythms, striking chord stabs and hypnagogic synths unveil a semi-conscious dreamland, before the Argentine's progressive attitude reveals itself during a final of tension filled noise, deconstructed vocals and cosmic arps. A powerful interpretation from Paul Deep, which rounds out an excellent label debut for Electric Dada, an artist duo who is set to emerge further as 2023 unfolds.

Rounding out a strong spring season, Nikko.Z's Dopamine White welcomes Sinan Arsan back to the label for a new single. Hailing from Turkey, Sinan first emerged as a producer in 2019 with a release on Stellar Fountain's Black division, before going on to land projects via Droid9 South America, Future Avenue and Soundteller Records across 2020. Immediately recognized for his groovy progressive sound, Sinan would go on to earn the support of Hernan Cattaneo, while adding Balkan Connection, Mango Alley, onedotsixtwo and One Of A Kind to his resume. Having released his ‘Eloquence' EP via Dopamine White in 2021, Sinan now makes a welcome return to the label with ‘Amaranth', alongside a remix from Diego Acosta.

Beginning with the panoramic synth textures and powerful drive of the original mix, Sinan flexes his free-thinking muscles with a creation equally at home on a peak time dance floor or floating above a festival skyline. Rolling grooves, percolating arps and squelchy synths make for a strong rhythmic core, while hopeful overlays elevate mood as the main break commences. Furthering its emotive appeal, the centrepiece melts down into a heartfelt melody; reflective in nature, the disorienting theme delivers dizzying moments, perfectly setting up an effects laden build and groovy final movement.

The release concludes with Diego Acosta returning to the label for the lone interpretation of ‘Amaranth'. Hailing from Uruguay, Diego Acosta has made remarkable strides since first emerging in 2021. In finding a healthy balance between progressive and organic house, the Montevideo resident has compiled an impressive resume in just twenty-four short months. Nicholas Van Orton's BCSA, Antrim's Strangers Beats and Jelly For The Babies' RYNTH have been landing spots for his far-reaching sound, while global tastemakers such as Guy J, Mariano Mellino and Armen Miran have championed his sound along the way. Having made his Dopamine White debut last year with ‘Sixteen', Diego now returns to the label with a gorgeous rendition of ‘Amaranth'. From a deeper vision, the Uruguayan artist draws on the sensibilities of the original, working progressive rhythms over a bed of pulsating beats and finely tuned percussion. Tastefully restrained, the main break advances the narrative with cascading melodies and balmy atmospheres, eventually giving way to buzzing chord stabs and a finale that is equal parts energetic and uplifting.

The latest release from Nikko.Z's Dopamine White welcomes TOKUMORI to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Peru, TOKUMORI has been producing electronic music for well over a decade. With a sound that ranges from deep hypnotic house to melodic house and techno, the Lima resident always seems to find a nice balance of groove and emotion throughout his creations. It's a sound that has taken him to releases via Another Life Music, Balkan Connection South America, Deepwibe Digital and more. Continuing to emerge as one of his country's most promising producers, TOKUMORI now debuts on Dopamine White with an artist showcase entitled ‘Starry Sky'.

Composed of four distinctive and equally compelling creations, it is the spacious grooves and shimmering lines of ‘Starry Sky' which set the tone for the EP. Instantly seductive, its fluttery melodies and cosmic effects create a colourful canopy for punchy beats and wobbly grooves to deliver an enticing narrative. A well-crafted break sits at the heart of the journey, flowing through effervescent modulation and hopeful harmonies, before uniting for an exhilarating drop and warm key changing finale. Selection two ‘Etero' finds Gaston composing with a strong sense of rhythm and groove. Warm rolling basslines set the course for wavering atmospheres and playful chord stabs to elevate mood across act one. The Lima resident flexes his free-thinking muscles across a memorable break, as melodies open and hypnotizing effects take centrestage, eventually transferring energy into a smooth, free-flowing conclusion.

Continuing on a hopeful monochrome with ‘Magic Night', TOKUMORI diversifies his portfolio with a production that is equal parts groovy and emotional. The Peruvian artist allows the listener to relish in the groove, as flickering percussive arrangements, balmy sweeps and pixie-like harmonics provide a mesmerizing bridge into a therapeutic break and meditative finale. The release's final selection ‘The Path' brings a touch of nostalgia through classic key change combinations and a straightforward groove which pulsates to great effect. Poignant and enduring, it caps off an excellent Dopamine White debut for TOKUMORI, an artist who continues to impress as he rises out of Peru's electronic underground.

Nikko.Z's Dopamine White opens the month of September by welcoming Stereo Munk and Dublew to the label for their debut single. Based in Pakistan, Stereo Munk and Dublew have been frequent collaborators for the better part of five years. Often finding a creative balance between progressive and organic house, the duo has taken their superlative sound to well established imprints such as 3rd Avenue, Mango Alley and Movement Recordings, while earning support from genre trendsetter Hernan Cattaneo. Continuing to deliver fresh music across 2023, Dublew & Stereo Munk now add Dopamine White to their resume with ‘Ballad Of A Distant Star', alongside remixes from Dark Soul Project and Maze 28.

Beginning with the Original mix Dublew & Stereo Munk masterfully synthesize their talents into one singular progressive minded vision. Warm punchy beats and a spacious groove set the foundation for a narrative of metallic fragments, cosmic effects and heartfelt harmonics. Pushing a melodic mood into the break; the duo marries glowing pads with balmy synth phrasing, building emotion with each successive pass, as orbiting effects tease the senses, before eventually giving way to a thumping drop and smooth meditative finale.

Making his label debut with the first interpretation of ‘Ballad Of A Distant Star' is Dark Soul Project. With a career that spans well over a decade Argentinean artist Dark Soul Project has remained a fixture of the progressive house underground, showcasing his groovy percussive sound via Balkan Connection, Proton Music and Sound Avenue, while world class DJs John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Laurant Garnier, Nick Warren and Sasha have all been supporters of his work. Having appeared on label affiliate Dopamine Music on two previous occasions, Dark Soul Project now debuts on the label's ‘White' subsidiary with a stellar rendition of ‘Ballad Of A Distant Star'. While maintaining the elusive spirit of the original, the Argentinean artist crafts a version aimed squarely at the dancefloor, one where redolent themes, fragmented vocals and symphonic chord stabs blanket a beefed up groove and flashing percussive arrangements. Coming to full fruition across the main break, it's a bucolic college of texture, effects and deconstructed vocals which serves to elevate mood onwards to a supremely rhythmic conclusion.

The release concludes with Maze 28 making his label debut with the second and final interpretation of ‘Ballad Of A Distant Star'. Hailing from Albania, Mario Zefi aka Maze 28 has emerged as one of his country's most hotly tipped new progressive house artists. In just three short years the Durres resident has earned support from Antrim, DJ Ruby, Dosem, Nick Muir, Paul Van Dyk, Stan Kolev and more, while his melodic creations have found a home on Droid9, Mango Alley, Panda Lab and his own Best Pro Records imprint. Now, fresh off a contribution to Juicebox Music's popular ‘Fables' collection, Maze 28 adds Dopamine White to his resume with an exhilarating take on ‘Ballad Of A Distant Star'. Sitting comfortably in an emotive yet thought provoking space, Maze 28's titanium kick drums and tougher groove set the pace for percolating effects and sweeping harmonies to rise as the main break evolves, eventually breaking off as a flurry of pyrotechnic synths sparks a pulsating drop and thunderous finale.
