3 SpyReal - The Drum Song (Stoner's Short Mix) demo

 3 SpyReal originally began life back in 1997, with the amalgamation of minds between Ian, a DJ under the name of Liquid Lounge, and Guy 'Giz' Hotham, a MC303 player of some repute. They quickly began to exploit their own brand of hard house and acid tinged techno and played a handful of low key gigs in and around the Leeds area, including some of the now infamous and notorious free parties, most notably the derelict hospital in Rawdon. 
 
  Ian manipulated the MC303, TB303, decks and samplers while Giz played bass guitar and got every ounce of energy from the MC303. On the success of these impromptu gigs, they decided to make 3 SpyReal a long term project and called upon the talents of James Garrett and his didgeridoo playing ability, Simon the Evil Elf and Tony Wright to apply their percussion skills to expand the sound of 3 SpyReal. 
  
  From the late summer of 1997 throughout 1998 and into 1999, 3 SpyReal played at every major night in the Leeds Bradford area, playing on the same bills as James Holdroyd, The Vonn Trapp Family, LS8 Sound System, Dj Oberon, Oliver Ho, The Nexus Twins to name but a few, these events included - Cabbage, Templehead, Party On..., 1-in-12 Club, Floating Bong, Glow Ballistic, Dust, Sid Fox, Oblong, Party Politics, Ecstasy Club (Manchester), they also played at the Unity Day Festival (3 successive years), as well as numerous free parties in warehouses, woods, fields and a bus. 3 SpyReal quickly but steadily built a solid core following, even their roach style flyers were collectors items!!! 
  

  In the tail end of 1999 and being popular additions to parties, they decide to take a break. To have a rest from the rehearsals and playing live, to recharge the batteries so to speak but the break went on longer than they anticipated!!! 
 
  After a 5 year hiatus 3 SpyReal decided to start rehearsals again, this time bringing their music up to date and adding an edge by completely remixing and re-programming their entire back catalogue for a string of low gigs. 

  Unfortunately due to the untimely death of Giz this never came to fruition. His spirit and enthusiasm still lives on in the music of 3 SpyReal. 
 
 Now in the year 2009 Ian Liquid has been revitalised and is ready to vent his musical spleen again,(so to speak). Ian is again composing new material and remixing old tunes, adding a new edge to the music of 3 SpyReal, it still has it's hard house and acid tinged techno roots but now encompasses some bass heavy breakbeat for the new look 3 SpyReal. 

  Rehearsals with various guest artists are being undertaken for the reformed 3 SpyReal with old tracks being reworked and revamped for what will be an aural assault of the senses....
