Mollono.Bass tanzt in vielerlei Hinsicht aus der Reihe. Er schielt kaum auf aktuelle Trends, nutzt ungeniert alle Mittel der Klangerzeugung und schlägt so einen eindrucksvollen Spagat zwischen Tanzbarkeit und Tiefgang. Aber da ist noch etwas, das in seinen organischen Grooves mitschwingt und ihnen Leben einhaucht: Freundschaft. Die ist auf der ersten von insgesamt drei Auskopplungen zu seinem neuen Album nicht zu überhören. Die Freundschaft zu Seth Schwarz kommt in dessen virtuosem Violinspiel zum Ausdruck. Zusammen mit den dubbigen Beats und warmen Klangfarben von Mollono.Bass entsteht hier fließende Eleganz von geradezu symphonischem Ausmaß. Wunderbar harmonisch fügen sich auch die Gitarrenakkorde von Jörg Schwenzer zwischen die treibenden Rhythmen. Summer is slowly but surely coming to an end and the nights are getting longer again. What could be more fitting than an EP called Night Shades? Responsible for this is Berlin artist Jiggler, one half of former Bar 25 favourite Channel X. He has been causing a stir with his solo project for many years, including releases on Stil vor Talent and Katermukke. The first track, Night Shades, which shares its name with the EP, captivates with its driving groove and wonderfully dreamy yet uplifting lead synth. With the second original, Voyager, the journey through the night continues seamlessly, albeit in a more rousing and darker way. Jiggler is supported by a total of three artists with their own interpretations of the originals: Richard Elcox, the Scottish Berliner by choice, who was already playing around with his brother's Korg MS-20 at the age of 11 and the well-known Matija and Contenance here in Zurich. The former has been part of the local scene for over three decades, the latter is well on his way to emulating Matija.

Rampue creates tantalizing traction even at moderate speed. His laid-back attitude and technical refinement are the result of decades of experience and are at the core of a signature production style that moves along with one hand on the wheel, while the other hangs casually from the open window, playing on an invisible claviature in the warm headwind. Konstantin’s Dance is housey deepness at its best, a sublime banger that will get both oldschoolers and the youngest generation going. Our beloved resident dj, @mulomusic is back on our mix series with this bouncy and groovy mix recorded live at The Villa in Oslo this past august.

MULO’s journey into the world of music has been nothing short of enchanting. From a young age, he was immersed in a diverse range of musical genres, but it was the mesmerizing rhythms of African music that truly captivated his soul. MULO sharpened his percussive skills on African djembe, establishing a profound connection with the primal beats.

However, it was a fateful night in Berlin, while at a RISE party, that MULO experienced the profound revelation of the possibility of fusing his love for deep house music with the captivating essence of African rhythms. The harmonious blend of these two worlds became his artistic calling.

Today, MULO stands as a member of one of Oslo’s most colourful concept Epiphany Kollektiv (@epiphanyoslo) as well as Oslo chapter of Djuma Soundsystem’s concept IZIKI (@izikiglobal). MULO’s artistic prowess lies in his ability to distill a potent mixture of Afro House, Afro Tech, and Deep House, tinted with a shimmer of live percussions. MULO has become an integral force in Oslo’s club scene, painting vibrant sonic landscapes filled with warmth and voodoo-infused vibes that transport listeners to a world where rhythms unite, cultures converge, and music transcends boundaries.

The journey continues with 13, a ritualistic, dark disco invocation. Driven by wild percussions and a spellbinding groove, the track conjures an almost supernatural energy—whispers of witchcraft layered atop a hypnotic bassline, inviting the listener to surrender to its mysterious rhythm.

Cem Gemalmaz Releases Emotive New Single ‘Somebody’ on Kindisch.

Kindisch welcomes Istanbul-based artist Cem Gemalmaz with his heartfelt new single ‘Somebody’. Known for weaving deep grooves with organic textures and rich storytelling, Gemalmaz once again delivers a track that resonates with both intimacy and warmth.

‘Somebody’ is built around a flowing organic deep house groove, its foundation anchored by a gentle piano theme and layers of humming vocal harmonies.
