Intercept welcomes Destrata with his debut EP for the label: Squib. Over three tracks, the Vancouver based artist shows you his take on UK influenced bass and techno.

The title track 'Squib' is Eli's first foray in 4x4 music and showcases his talent for energetic moves whilst still retaining a taste for detail. With a lead built out of a twisted vocal sample and a bass that's as grooving as it is chest pumping, it perfectly sets the tone for the EP.

'U4ia' is next up and is built around the idea to run all percussive hits through different colorful delays and reverbs. Gritty textured bass stabs act as a counterpoint to the heavy kick pattern. Combined with the ever shifting hi hats the track feels oddly tribal without stepping
into clichés.

'What Dreams Are Made Of' ends this banging EP, but delivers something different. Destrata forms a bridge between the current wave of mutant dancehall and higher tempo Latin American inspired club tracks. It showcases his feeling for off kilter rhythms and bass even more.

3024 are very proud to present a new EP by Mexico City based luminary Tristan Arp.

'End of a Line or Part of a Circle?' hints at timelines, lifecycles, and the shifting perspectives that come with zooming out from a human lens. The insect club universe of “Panspecies Rights” imagines the sound of every life form rising up in protest, while the title track as well as “Branching Streams” outline a snaking labyrinth of musical paths and plot twists.

A club-not-club hybrid of dance-floor freakouts and downtempo zones, the EP shows Tristan Arp’s range as a producer, as encouraged by Martyn throughout the making of the record. While “A Livable Earth” sits somewhere between wide-eyed fantasy and precarious reality, “The Language Change,” imagines a new language for non-human collaboration.

Tristan Arp is co-founder of the Human Pitch collective alongside Simisea, formed while living in New York before moving to Mexico City in 2019. He is also a frequent collaborator with Kellen303 (for unknown untitled), Nico for Grid and as a member of the group Asa Tone (on Leaving Records).

No Sir joins the Faux Poly family with their new EP ‘Voyeur’, a release full of rich syncopated percussion and expressive soundscapes that document the artists’ evolving perspective on club spaces and home listening.

The record leans towards sub heavy broken beats, resulting in a confident contribution to the flourishing NYC Bass scene. Despite being based in Brooklyn, No Sir has already broken ground in Europe with singles on 3024 & W133.

“I started producing this EP at a really challenging moment last summer after I got a concussion that left me pretty much bed bound for a month. During this time I also quit drinking, so my relationship to music and going to clubs saw a complete overhaul. This EP is my attempt to find a space in between the hours spent at my quiet apartment and my return to these loud, dark spaces I see as another kind of home. The title track, Voyeur, was the first piece of music I made after the injury” - No Sir

PREMIERE : No Sir - Sibling Rivalry

This summer sees the continuation of Faux Poly’s remix compilation series. Round 2 features an eclectic selection of artists close to and admired by label bosses Kassian.

Kicking off the compilation is a huge, cavernous, trance inspired reinterpretation of Kassians ‘No Clear Shape’ by Gina Breeze. Following this is Will Hoffbauer with a characteristically leftfield flip of Ste Roberts’ ‘Diego’s Mad Hour, who’s somehow gotten away with dunking a huge techno track into his bubble bath.

Another highlight comes from Rotterdam-based duo Black Cadmium, stepping up for their first ever remix together. Their dark electro inspired take on Ste Roberts ‘Dirty Politician’ is bursting with energy, holding onto the mood of Ste’s original with their own added signature.

Completing the lineup is London’s Third Son, Niceup, Void Complet, plus contributions from label bosses Warren Xclnce and Danvers.
