Come peruse Collections 01, a menagerie of songs from Teebs on the Brainfeeder label. Like a cluster of exotic birds, anthology of short stories or secret case of sparkling gemstones, Collections 01 further explores the world expressed in Teebs' previous album Ardour from several new perspectives.

While drawing from the universe of Ardour, Collections 01 is more varied with more samples, each song containing specific elements that give it a unique character. Featuring tracks with harpist Rebekah Raff and Brainfeeder cohort Austin Peralta, Collections 01 offers a range of sentiment, always elegantly displayed. From hypnotic, dust-covered beats and languid daydreams to cascading shuffles and bright bursts of color, this beautiful collection is a further glimpse into the world behind the mind's eye of Teebs, painter of sound.

From Teebs:

"With this record I'm trying to imagine a side project or group of mine that just so happened to make the same exact music as I'm making now. These records are neither EPs or full albums. Just mini collections of ideas...I hope to release them randomly through my life as if they were paintings in a drawn out series. The vibe I want people to be sent off with is a feeling of going out and buying some kind of rare library record they always wanted and not a "new album/EP." This will be the first Collections."

After several collaborations with Popof, Mike Krier is back with a solo new EP called Color Change. Out on Swann Decamme's Curiosity Music this summer, release mixes a bright tech-house, with deep, intriguing, warm, hypnotic sounds. The artist delivers three original tracks, EP also includes a superb remix of the Parisian Animal & Me. To be released on July 16th.

"Baignant dans la musique depuis son adolescence, Mike Krier découvre le spectre et la puissance des sons électroniques dans les années 90, avec l’émergence des raves et free parties : « Grâce à l’underground, j’ai appris tout seul, en autodidacte. La personne qui m’a vraiment donné envie de mixer est Lobotomix, un DJ que j’ai découvert quand j’étais plus jeune lors de rave parties. Sa façon de jouer m’impressionnait beaucoup. Cette expérience de la musique nous a motivés, des amis et moi, à créer un groupe que nous avons appelé MF (pour Maison de Fou, ndlr) et à organiser nos propres raves. »

Pour ce trentenaire parisien, la musique est « une échappatoire, et plus qu’un passe-temps, une passion ». Très influencé par la scène house et par le travail de son ami Popof, Mike n’en n’oublie pas pour autant ses classiques : « Je suis un grand fan de Pink Floyd, groupe avec lequel j’ai été élevé musicalement. Dans Colour Change (titre éponyme de ce nouvel EP, ndlr), il y a d’ailleurs un sample du titre Shine On You Crazy Diamond. D’où ce côté psychédélique qu’on retrouve dans le titre et la musique en elle-même. » À ce premier track quasi chamanique, spatial, chaud et coloré, où les synthés résonnent dans l’espace, s’ajoute deux autres morceaux originaux beaucoup plus imprégnés de cette tech-house que Mike Krier affectionne tant, taillée pour faire sourire et danser ceux qu’ils l’écoutent. 

À découvrir également, un remix très personnel de Colour Change signé de la main d’Animal & Me, DJ et ami avec lequel l’artiste avait créé un duo il y a quelques années. Dans un enrobage léché, les sonorités deviennent plus brutes, créant une atmosphère presque orientale et prophétique. Une autre bonne raison de s’intéresser à ce bel EP estival, dont la sortie est prévue le 16 juillet sur Beatport puis le 30 juillet sur les autres plateformes de téléchargement."

After several collaborations with Popof, Parisian Mike Krier is coming back on stage, with a new EP entitled 'Colour Change'.

After discovering the rave scene in the 90's and starting a band, Mike became involved more in House music. The artist delivers three original tracks to be discovered, as well as a superb remix of the Parisian artist Animal & Me, to be released on July 16th on Curiosity Music.

With its almost shamanic, warm and colorful approach to the sample from Pink Floyd's 'Shine on You Crazy Diamond', 'Colour Change' depicts the new school of Tech House - relaxed and full of life.
