Berlin's Boris Dolinski, the famed Ostgut Ton artist that has played Berghain more than ANY other DJ in the last 12 years, delivers this week's Global Vibe Radio mix.

Last May, 30D Records (@30drecords) offered its unique streaming showcase, recorded live in LAUT Barcelona. Traveling from Berlin for this special occasion, Boris offered one of his acclaimed sets, always unpredictable, inspiring, full of energy and plenty of unexpected tracks. On July 17th, Boris will release an exclusive cassette with 30D Records, an ambient mix limited to 25 copies

Boris' musical roots reach back to the mid-80s, when he lived in New York for four years where he absorbed the unique spirit of the seminal club Paradise Garage weekend after weekend. From the Club’s mentor Larry Levan, Boris learned to believe in his musical intuition as well as a broad musical spectrum, which nowadays ranges from Disco, Hi-NRG, Post-Punk, and (Kraut-) Rock to House and Techno, all of which Boris loves to throw into one set. „Music was most important for Levan. He was uncompromising and he knew how to convey it. That’s what I’m trying to achieve, too, when I’m djing.“

Many years later, Boris became a resident at Panorama Bar’s first incarnation in Berlin, where he was able to build a loyal following by playing long sets lasting until noon. „The crowd is always a lot more receptive to music at the end than at the beginning. That’s when I rather have the opportunity to present unusual stuff and that’s when I’m able to let my feelings run freely.“

After the old OstGut/Panorama Bar closed, Boris played in almost every club in Berlin, but when the follow-up club Berghain opened its doors in 2004, he quickly focused on playing out here again. From 2005 till 2010 he had another musical platform, as he was taking care of the label Careless Records as an A&R. As a DJ, he is not exactly keen on refining a certain genre, but rather pushing music with a certain twist.

Revelation of Sound is pleased to present 30drop with the amazing hybrid set. In his formative years, the artist responsible for 30drop discovered new synthetic and electronic sounds that would later influence his work. From the year 1996, his activity as a DJ powered his link with music, focused on Detroit Techno and Techno sounds that held the transgressive references of Birmingham, UK. These impressions saw 30drop magnetise toward an industrial, experimental, noise-based sound, particularly in the mid-2000s.

After a creative pause, 2014 brought his new project, ‘30drop’, at this time his label 30D Records of which he is the Manager and joint  A&R with Angel Molina, was also born.

Close Encounters in its Seventh Release brings challenging techno sounds from nonconformist artists located around the globe.

Berlin based MDSMNR comes back to 30D Records with his trembling track Ghost Eyes. Vakat, from Montenegro, debuts on the label with Bare Hands, ready to push your sound system beyond its limits. Italian artist known as Divide delivers Colloide, melting textures and complex rhythms for high listening and dancing impacts. Run, by Japanese artist s/h/u/y/a, brings noise into techno for this Seventh Encounter, getting a mind-boggling result.

Born in the last year of the 20th century in the south of France, her Asian and Middle Eastern roots brought her a special and rich vision of culture, society and art.
Attracted to music from a young age, learning about music theory from the early age of 5 at the conservatory, it was in her teenage years that Tauceti decided to move to Toulouse to pursue her studies at the Music High School, where she specialized in percussion.
Being deeply interested in the human conceptualization of art, she moved to Grenoble to study Philosophy. It was there where she had her first performances as a DJ.
It was a bit later when she moved to Lyon, where is based and where she develops her music and DJ skills, exporting her work to the rest of the world.
The combination of her musical and philosophical knowledges is what makes her special. Through her work, she explored the concepts of philosophers such as Nietzsche and his assertion that art is the supreme force of human creativity, being where a man exercises his power.
Timelessness, depth, intensity, polyrhythms, layers and textures are some of the words that define the music of Tauceti who, staying away from trends and rules, creates her own musical identity both in the music she composes and as a DJ.

Industrial music was above all a statement of intent. A tool to express social discouragement and the call for rebellion against the concept of pre-established social norms. A claim to freedom. 
While products like the Sex Pistols took over the mainstream, bands like Throbbing Gristle set the standard for authentic punk vibe, which became known as Industrial in the most underground environments. 

Nowadays, industrial music does not exist. There are just few who have been able to be influenced by this music genre and mix it with styles such as EBM or Techno to create a modern and industrial sound. This is the case of Irazu, who we previously released a track on a VA for our sub-label Close Encounters; and who we now have the pleasure of releasing this 'Love Crucified EP'.  
This work overflows industrial feeling and at the same time it has its own character sounding actual, dense and hypnotic. The EP contains 3 original tracks and a remix by Yelling Meltdown; the new project by the producers Kastil & 30drop which work clearly reminds the sound of bands like Skinny Puppy or Front Line Assembly.
