Uncertainty, excitement, expectations and hope define pretty well what’s behind the launchment of a space mission. Everything has been calculated,  measured and prepared, but reality is always unpredictable, so results and success are never guaranteed. Experience and intuition may help in order to reach the desired planet’s orbit. Italian artist Alessandro Russo, known as Evod (@evodmusic), has used both to deliver Sonde Spaziali EP, the new release on Exoplanets’ 30D Sub label, a tribute to four different spatial projects that have taken place in the last decades from different parts of the world. 

Techno has been, almost since its inception, an excellent soundtrack for spatial exploration, as experimenting and having no boundaries in creation are key to start the trip. In Sonde Spaziali, Evod, fully aware of techno’s potential, recreates all the complex emotions kept into the challenge  of  reaching  space,  being able to bring us back to Earth to share and spread the discoveries, fully dance floor compatible. There is no formula behind the tracks and they can’t be copied or emulated: exploring and redefining the link between Dub and Techno is one of the main assets of Jiman’s studio work. By experimenting with the darkest moods and emphasizing the complexity of sound textures and dub grooves, Jiman creates depth, intense atmospheres. Human Program €rror leads to a state of mind difficult to reach and it is so shocking that it will be hard to leave: make it last as long as you want.

Arpanet needs no introduction for those who know. Hydrostatic Equilibrium EP is a reissue of the 2 tracks released by 30D Records from the Detroit artist back in 2018 (cat# 30D-006), now presented together in a special limited edition single sided 12" vinyl. The EP includes the original tracks Supernova Remnant and Main Sequence Star, being the only two tracks produced by Arpanet since 2006.

Presented with a new artwork, designed by Arpanet himself, and this time on 30D Records sub label ExoPlanets, Hydrostatic Equilibrium EP becomes an instant collectors must have, especially after the quick sell out that followed the 2018 release and the numerous reissue requests received since then.

'Other Dimensions LP', Terrence Dixon's latest work and the new adventure in 30D's ExoPlanets sublabel, comes for the very first time released in full length format, split in two sides, showing Terrence's two faces. As everyone knows, words can not describe the music of this Detroit visionary, but we'll try. Futuristic, avant-garde-esque, mesmerizing, trippy and minimalistic / reduced techno funk as expected in A side, but highly emotional and evocative, as only he can do. On the flip side, Terrence redefines and takes to another level the concept of dark, experimental, abstract, atmospheric, alienated and dystopian music, a true musical trip (perhaps a nightmare???) to dive into. An extremely personal and intimate album.

We are happy to present Tauceti‘s first solo work. Artist that 30D supports and believe in for her vision of techno, her serious and dedicated work and for her conceptual, aesthetic and philosophical coherence of quality underground techno.

Her music is direct and honest, but not for this an easy thing: deep, mental and melancholic techno, but also percussive, textured, raw and industrial at same time. And, even more, it is a true declaration of intent from a true emerging talent from the French techno scene.

Italian producer Evod returns to 30D ExoPlanets for his second outing on the label. Known for the deep tripping techno that he puts out mostly via his own Evod Music you know it's special when he steps out of his comfort zone and presents new works via another outlet. 

Here he lands on 30D Records, after a first release with us in 2021, it's a welcome return. Presenting an exciting pack of deep techno, starting of with mesmerizing 'Molecole', a true piece of intergalactic space techno. More energy gets unleashed in the fierce 'Campi Magneti' with its clapping drive and pulsating kick drums. For the latter part of the EP Evod dives deep into the dub territories for 'Ioni' and the wonderful atmospheric drifter 'Atomi' as a closer. Evod shows his many sides just in four tracks and it's another confirmation that he's on the forefront of an exciting wave in modern techno.

Spanish producer Univac returns to 30D Records with his second outing on the leading Spanish techno imprint. This time he appears on the ExoPlanets sub, the more futuristic branch of the label. Industrial Music Producer Geistform Releases New Album "Resonancia”. Kastil, aka of the Spanish Mario Castillo, is well known and especially for his role as a producer of furious and intricate techno works with a high industrial influence.
But at 30D we like that our close people (and Kastil is very close, since he is responsible for the mastering of all our label's releases) have absolute freedom to release what they consider appropriate, here is a clear example: Mario leaves aside his usual four-to-the-floor vision to immerse himself -completely on purpose- in classic IDM and the most beautiful, musical and even epic electronica. Only one of the four tracks that conform the EP ('Polymorphic') clearly looks to the dance floor although it shares, along with the three remaining tracks, the artist's passion for the timeless sound of the 90's.

The Entity signs this four track EP, the second release of 30drop ExoPanets series. “Unified Theory EP” interweaves ways and ages, prisms and shapes to end up in an exquisite multiplicity. The proposal brings the listener to the melodic first generation of Detroit Techno with both cuts, “Cinetica” and “TE234”. Discourse flows darker and more contemporary in “Operation Deck” while the machinery drives you to the dancefloor space in “Beta Test”.

A new ExoPlanets release is coming out from the 30drop shuttle. Univac, a side project of Geistform’s mastermind Rafa M. Espinosa, presents “Unknown Radio”, an electrocharged bomb EP. Starting with Detroitian electro- heritage, Univac, push up the style into a rhythmical, elegant and contemporaneous status. Four original tracks and a remix by the legendary Der Zyklus (Drexciya, Dopplereffekt, Arpanet,…).

“Unknown Radio”, the homonymous track, opens up the work backward- looking to the techno dancefloor. “Lunik” purpose a cold and explicit electro discourse, well understood and remanufactured by the hands of Der Zyklus. “Null” is an electrical discharge and, finally, an energy-boost called “Zender” closes the work. Unquestionable job.

ORYX 9 has built a synthetic complex universe, in a 70s Druillet psychedelic Sci-Fi similar vein, mixing up a handicraft and exhaustive sound treatment through ancient machinery, and proper mind-bending literature. “Abstraction trail”, a conceptual whole sheaf, is the result itself and the fourth 30drop ExoPlanets reference.

The evocative “Subatomic Uprising in Cassiopea"'s retrofuturism meets the lisergic onirism of “Ethereal Aquadome”. Bassdrum goes harder on the delayed hipnotism of “Magma-45 Decaying Path”, a planetary decadence tale. And finally, “Ultraviolet (Light of Tsih)”, a cosmic endless melody from a dead constellation, winds up the EP.

Emergency EP is a high-quality release by one of the long-established producers but emergent project in modern techno.

Berliner MSDMNR continues working on his particular sound halfway between rawness and hypnotism with an exceptional mix framed within a more contemporary context made for the dance floor.

Emergency EP has 5 tracks of a straight techno style focusing on rhythmic experimentation created from percussive sequences processed to exhaustion building a unique and special textured groove.

“Vertical Hold EP”, holds on his unlimited creative scheme: on the basis of the Detroit sound, he transforms that legacy in a fully refurbished approach wherein the true creativity smashes any possible stereotype. 

Every track leads us to the unexpected. From  the skillful Dixon’s mind, any sonic universe is possible. The straight low pad of “Due Process” flows on a kaleidoscopic background, energized by a danceable bass drum. Second cut, “Vertical Hold”, is a wicked amazing sequential madness from a dreamlike dance floor.  “Transition Area” seeks and finds out the depth, a mental mantra to disappear in. The rhythmic and mechanical arpeggiator of “Total Vehicle” drive us to a dancing frenetic hypnosis. And, finally, “Assembly Building”, unfolds a fine-draw and imaginative minimalistic groove.

At 30D we keep on thinking that quality underground techno is the most forward thinking style of electronic music and the one that continues moving towards new forms and sounds.

Some producers work in this direction and achieve exceptional results thanks to their talent and intense work in the studio. This is the case of Kastil, currently one of our favorite artists and whom we are happy to present his first solo EP for our label.

‘Hard Standing’ is a 4-track EP that conforms a compact and identifiable pack of tracks created by layers and polyrhythms masterfully assembled, building a wall of sound that evolves dynamically and relentlessly during the development of each track.

Industrial and hypnotic grooves that helps to define the future of techno, currently being conceptualized. We are sure that Kastil is undoubtedly one of the leading names for the next techno age with superb works such as this ‘Hard Standing EP’. This will be released in our most international sub-label: ‘30D | ExoPlanets’.

Industrial music was above all a statement of intent. A tool to express social discouragement and the call for rebellion against the concept of pre-established social norms. A claim to freedom. 
While products like the Sex Pistols took over the mainstream, bands like Throbbing Gristle set the standard for authentic punk vibe, which became known as Industrial in the most underground environments. 

Nowadays, industrial music does not exist. There are just few who have been able to be influenced by this music genre and mix it with styles such as EBM or Techno to create a modern and industrial sound. This is the case of Irazu, who we previously released a track on a VA for our sub-label Close Encounters; and who we now have the pleasure of releasing this 'Love Crucified EP'.  
This work overflows industrial feeling and at the same time it has its own character sounding actual, dense and hypnotic. The EP contains 3 original tracks and a remix by Yelling Meltdown; the new project by the producers Kastil & 30drop which work clearly reminds the sound of bands like Skinny Puppy or Front Line Assembly.
