This. Is. The first soundbite! This line has been stuck in my head, and I like how it came almost exactiy like I had hoped, complete with loud swing drums, clicking sound, high hats on the off-beat, and, of course, that big "guitar" sound. It runs a bit like a White Stripes song: drums, guitar, simplicity, DONE. Now, I really like the White Stripes (not the piano stuff though), so this is pretty cool for me. But I might be stretching a bit. Anyway, enjoy!

This is a jazz-type thing that I have been working with for a while. It's got an electric piano, a string pad, and a pretty awesome affected-saw bassline. Enjoy!

8-bit music. Plus Funk. Man, this was fun to make. I spent about half the time making this just jamming. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

Pixel

This is my first attempt at "dubstep," a genre normally imprisoned by frat boys with no music ability. I'm trying to take it back, with a soundbite I blew 3 hours on. Normally, that's how long a full 3-4 minute track takes. But I ramped up the complexity here, which semi-justifies the time.

Dr. Awesome

This is 30 Second Soundbites, a little side-project that I'm working on. I have a bajillion ideas for tracks, and posting 3-4 minute tracks, once a week won't cut it. The answer: 30-second riffs, roughly biweekly. That way, I can get those lines onto audio in minutes, without it sounding like absolute junk. I post riffs of whatever I feel like; the only real thing they have in common is that they are EXACTLY 30 seconds. If there's enough people asking for an extension to a soundbite, I'll extend it - or you can do it yourself. (I don't use MIDI files; I can only send you MP3 loops to download. Sorry.)
