I saw myself sitting on an eagle's wing hovering above the clouds... if you've taken a plane before during sunset, you know it can be stormy down there with people suffering ... but above the clouds, you can still see the beautiful sun and all is calm.

This is a very watered down version of an assignment (lost the recording 😢) of the music composition "for fun" class during junior year in college.  Since the daytime slots were only 1 hour each, I used to book the "graveyard shift" (11 PM to 6 AM -- the irony!) of the music lab so that I could just play in the lab uninterrupted.

So one day I had this dream of a bright sunny day in a beach.  I saw a tidal wave far out there... but people around me didn't do anything.  Sensing something was off, I ran into a house.  The water covered over the house, but the inside was completely dry and I was safe.  The glass balcony doors became like the underwater aquarium glass in the Ocean Suites in Resorts World Sentosa... I could see the fishes swimming.  Then I saw a diver.  I went through the glass into the water and began diving underwater (without equipment).

That inspired this song.

Tsunami Love (draft Instrumental)

As a child, I spent a lot of time looking at the skies, the sea and stars.  I had a dream of sitting in a car at night on a dark highway.  That's a throwback on my favorite memory in college when a few friends drove deep into the woods for stargazing in the winter.

I told myself, it's too late now (to get married).  I'm past that age (the irony! this was written May 2006 🤦).  Then I looked up in the sky and saw the most beautiful meteor shower.

Exodus 32:13: "Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac and Israel, to whom you swore by your own self: ‘I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give your descendants all this land I promised them, and it will be their inheritance forever.’"

Continuation of musical diary... I took a lot of these down before understanding fully its meaning.  

In one of my previous places at work, we talked about "blue sky" scenarios.  The ideal place where there are no limitations. 

It was a picture of a bunch of Japanese kids wearing white baseball caps in a sports field during sports day... singing songs and waving flags ... the sku was beautiful and blue, hope and joy giving...

Awaiting that time to polish into a full fledged track.

This was Christmas 2008 in San Francisco.  There was a Christmas video played in Cornerstone Church during Sunday service.  After service, I took down this tune which ties in with the three wise men traversing mountains with presents en route to visit baby Jesus.

In November 2013, I realized that all the lyrics fitted that nativity scene except "Promised Land", "Love is Here", "Bow down and pray"

In December 2006, I woke up hearing the sound of wedding bells and saw I was a bride of a wedding next to a pretty pool in a European hotel (it looks very much like Capella in Singapore 🤣).  I was supposed to be the bride but I never saw who the groom was.  This song of a SATB choir singing was a follow up.... it sounded really like the wedding march song...
