Those few days turned into a year in the jungle when they were kidnapped by radical Muslim terrorists. Tom Doyle: “When Jesus Calls, He Equips”

From the first days after his arrest in Sudan, Petr Jasek repeatedly said, “God is the One who holds the key to my cell.” Jasek, a Czech citizen, is VOM’s Africa regional director and he was just released after 14 months in prison in Sudan. In this third and final part of our conversation with Petr, he shares about how he stopped praying to be released from prison and simply focused on fulfilling the Lord’s purpose for him inside prison walls. Listen as Petr shares what it was like to hear the judge announce that he was sentenced to life in prison, and the verse he read from Psalms moments before he found out God would be using the key and opening Petr’s cell door. Petr will also share—from his personal experience—how we should pray for Christians in prison, and for their families who sometimes suffer more than the prisoners. You will be challenged to think about what it means to wait on the Lord as you hear Petr share how, after 445 days, God set this captive free.

As soon as you hear the name “Darwin”, it’s likely that you will know who he is and think of pictures of the HMS Beagle, the Galapagos Islands, finch beaks, and that very well-known picture of a line-up of monkeys slowly standing up and gradually becoming a human being. But sometimes people don’t really know what Darwin’s theory actual was. In this program, we’ll look at what it was really about.

When Isaac Newton looked back over his amazing career as a scientist, he said that he just felt like a boy playing on the sea-shore, finding pebbles and shells, when a whole ocean lay before him. Every scientist is very willing to recognise that there is still a lot to be discovered in science.
The same is true of Darwin. The big thing he knew very little about was actually very, very tiny—it’s the living cell. And the big question we are going to address in this program is: “How did life begin?”

In this program we are talking about one of the most important components of Darwin’s theory of evolution—random mutations. Darwin believed that we all evolved through a series of genetic mutations—we are all mutants of a common ancestor. But is that true? Watch to find out what really happens as the result of mutations.

What is really surprising is that the fossil record actually supports the Bible and not evolution.
