Of the artists who inspired the launch of 3am Recordings, Miles Hollway & Elliot Eastwick are probably those who are at the top of the chart; initially producing as the superb Salt City Orchestra with Si Brad, then latterly as Reset, with Merlin, providing yet more absolutely outstanding deep vibes. I've already recorded 'A Nod to Salt City Orchestra', so felt it was time to do 'A Nod To Reset', as their tracks remain regular features in my sets to this day. Those familiar with their vinyl will understand the reason behind the artwork used for this mix.... Luna May is the solo project of Melbourne based artist, Emma Carn.

As a songwriter, Carn has had an impressive run. Her songs have amassed over fifty million streams on Spotify across a number of high profile collaborations and have received praise from industry heavyweights Future Classic, Dim Mak and TMRW Music.

Carn stepped into the spotlight as a solo artist under the moniker Luna May in 2015. The profile of the electro pop songstress quickly grew and she has since landed supports for artists such as Vera Blue, London Topaz and Death By Denim.

After being forced to take some time out this year, Luna May took the opportunity to focus on writing and collaborating and now steps back into the spotlight with a catalogue of beautifully crafted songs that mirror her penchant for moody pop.

The energy and freedom of the night...
The song "Locomia," by the group Locomia, is a vibrant celebration of the freedom and energy of Ibiza nightlife. The repetition of words like "Disco, Ibiza, Loco Mía" and the emphasis on themes like fashion, sun, sea, and sex show that the song seeks to convey the island's relaxed and festive atmosphere.
