Big Nick D is a dance music lifer. He’s been in the thick of it since the early 90s days of purple ohms & muddy fields in Somerset. He’s worked in and connected with the heart of the underground music establishment ever since, and he plays music for Those Who Know.

All except one unreleased track this mix is a fully vinyl affair & is aimed at the heads down crew. Inspired by the post 3am vibe in a club when everyone settles in for the long haul, the casual clubbers have gone home & the dancefloor chats have finished, only nods & smiles are needed to communicate.

Nick is resident at the long running Bank Of Switches parties & has a monthly radio show on Bloop London. He has his first foray into production penned for release later this year on the brand new Bank Of Switches label to be distributed via Yoyaku. Keep your eyes peeled.

We ran into Poten @poten (Majik Omada / Hack the  Planet) at Deep Dive's  @deep-dive-dc May 3rd and he mentioned that he wished he had got in touch to schedule a show.We loved what he was playing at Deep Dive, so we thought why not schedule a show while he's in town? So we made it happen! A real trooper after spinning until 7am that morning, Poten joined us May 4th to throw down a fantastic all-vinyl set on DC House Grooves 155, as always with support from Andy Grant & Katrina Mir. Hailing from the northern part of Europe, and member of the collective Free Shelter, DJ Margerita has slowly been making a name for himself in the local Helsinki scene. Working through moods and genres based on the occasion, he can be seen spinning records at hifi wine bars, infamous clubs such as Kaiku or even below the surface joints not known to many. Even though he's comfortable in almost any setting, he enjoys the sweaty intimate clubs the most. A setting he might be seen at often, but flourishes when done so.

The mix in question was recorded on a windy November evening at home when he was the only one awake and filled with inspiration. From a sentimental beginning to a high-energy ending, via some bits and pieces. From Helsinki with Love.
