Влад Добровольский: «Сборку компиляции «Crystal World» мы начали пару месяцев назад, а в основе ее находится наша страсть к FM-синтезу. Одновременно мы исследовали способы применения в ней и традиционной азиатской перкуссии. В процессе стало понятно, что мы затронули богатую звуковым материалом жилу, и полноценное раскрытие стало возможно лишь в формате крупной формы.

Так появилась эта подборка релевантной моменту музыки, микс из двух частей — моей и Василия, и интерлюдия между ними. В каждой части музыкальный характер отличается, а гармоническая и структурная концепция остается неизменной на всем протяжении. 

Результат можно сравнить с проявлениями света — такими как отражения. 

Также эта работа навевает воспоминания о романе Джеймса Балларда под названием «Кристаллизованный мир». Автор описывает, как природа — растения, животные и люди — постепенно трансформируются в кристаллизованный мир. Они «застывают» и превращаются в драгоценные камни, которые сами становятся солнечным светом, набором фантастических световых спектров, а гармония миллионов отражений и порождает и уничтожает саму жизнь».

Vlad Dobrovolski: «This compilation of Crystal World was began a couple of months ago and it is based on our FM fm synthesis addiction. And with that, our investigation of the wide range of acoustic manifestations of traditional Asian percussion instruments. During the realisation it became clear that this extremely rich sound material would open up new possibilities, which could only be done justice in a large framework.

Thus, a cycle of electronic music emerged, which consists of two parts Vasiliy and I made and interlude between them. In each part, the musical character corresponds to different aspects, while the harmonic and structural concept remains constant throughout the cycle. The recording process and the many electronic transformations of compositions and their overtone-spectra led to very unusual musical structures.

The resulting unique merges were comparable to various manifestation of light — such as reflections and also reminded of a novel by J. G. Ballard title The Crystal World. The author describes how nature’s plans, animals and also humans gradually change into a crystal world. Everything «freezes» into crystals and precious stones, which in turn, transform sunlight into an environment of countless fantastic light-spectra.

The paradox is the perfect harmony of millions of reflections of light,
which is at the same time responsible for the birth of all the livings and destruction of life».
