This mix is a soundtrack of sorts, inspired by a recent trip to Tulum, where all the artists that I love are wafting through the air at beachside  bars and restaurants in the jungle.  I hope it transports you to your own little jungle paradise in the Caribbean, sun on your skin, wind in your hair, and mezcal cocktail in your hand.  Enjoy, darlings!

Our next urban cosmic-cast was mixed by an artist who needs no introduction. 

Mimi Love has played herself into the hearts of countless people all over the globe with her signature sound and unforgettable gigs. Her sets are diverse and distinct, and have been known to move people’s hearts and feet in equal measure wherever she plays.
Although she can often be found discovering unknown territories, Berlin is the place where she loves to take off and land. As a member of the infamous Bachstelzen crew and resident DJ at Katerblau, she is deeply rooted in the German capital, where she has been playing many different roles in “this theatre called underground” for the past 10 years.

Her heartwarming style encompasses both slow and fast vibes, spanning a mixture of electronica-ethno, soft rock - downtempo hiphop all the way to what she calls pop-techno. This podcast is peek into her colourful collection, a mix that showcases the different kinds of music she has collected over the past months. It shows us a side of Mimi Love that we don’t always get to see in clubs - one that we’ve very happy to be able to experience for ourselves with her specially curated mix for Urban Cosmonaut Radio. Unsere Lieblinge Geju sollten uns eigentlich mit einem speziellen Podcast beglücken. Dies musste aber erst Mal auf Eis gelegt werden, denn die beiden Musiker sind momentan sehr gefragt. Zudem werden Sie bald neue Produktionen veröffentlichen, die es in sich haben.

Als 'Entschädigung' erhielten wir ihr Live-Set vom diesjährigen Mayan Warrior Camp. Say what? Ich bin beim Hören nicht mehr aus dem Grinsen herausgekommen und hoffe, dass es euch mindestens genauso gut gefällt, wie mir. Passend zu den letzten Sonnenstrahlen des Jahres 'schwooft' das Set gemächlich und mit einer Menge Leichtigkeit über die auditiven Felder unseres Bewusstseins. Wahrlich zum Verlieben. Übrigens sind in dem Set schon mehrere Neuerscheinungen enthalten...

Giz is a passionate music selector based in Berlin. She's currently making her joyful babysteps in a musical journey which - overloaded with so much heartwarming inspiration -  began a few months ago.

She grew up listening to vinyls from all around the world with her music aficionado father, which no doubt plays a role in her choices in life and music. She speaks 6 languages and is very much moved by all languages (from Indonesian to Mandinka) and instruments of any kind. 

She likes conveying ideas and experiences through her occasional writings but also believes in the immense power of silence and music- both as tools helping us (re)connect with each other and with the moment, in the moment, moment by moment. In the here and now, in unity. Slowing down- without rushing, racing, competing. Remembering we are here and alive, breathing in and out with vivid appreciation and gratitude for what is (just as it is) and for all the wonderful music that flies through our ears.
