Sfiso Ngcobo aka 3rd Brick was born in Durban, South Africa in 1986. Ngcobo is a well renowned rapper/poet and lyricist that resonates emotion and outspokenness. Hailed as one of the ruthless writers to ever hold a pen, he writes about social issues affecting people in all walks of life. Growing up in the densely populated KwaMakhutha township he has never let that set him back and thrives to excel past his peers.
His early music career began with when he collaborated with longtime friend and rapper Judas Jeremiah on a project called Genetically Twisted which was critically acclaimed as one of the best collaborations to be released in the city. GT stamped Ngcobo’s presence as a front running lyrical stalwart that can be both serious and playful with his music.

After the success that GT enjoyed, he embarked on a solo career which led to the release of Witness’s Testimony in 2012, and this project made him visible both as solo artist and one of the most prolific rappers that have graced the city. WT was well received and made him instantly the most important artist from the Durban South region.
He has also worked artists such as Abdus, Zakwe, Ayanda Makukule and boasts being the only artist that is an ambassador for super producer One-nder’s production company Once Again.
In 2014 he is working on his follow up to WT, Timeline which he is doing with Canndance Music which is home to KZN’s premier musicians. As lead to the project he has released 2 street singles, Budget Speech and Foul Mouth 2 which were have changed the climate of hip hop in city for the good with rave reviews and Foul Mouth 2 remains the most talked about song in the city for the year and has him as the front runner for lyricist of the year in the city.
