We are extremely excited to present you a new edition of the promising musician Bojan B, an edition called "Echoes In The Wind"!
Apparently, Bojan is largely envious of melodies, so his songs abound in melodic sections accompanied by a strong progressive groove. It can be said that the melodies and atmospheric occasions in the songs are his signature.
As we are used to getting constant quality from him, so this time, no less than previous editions, Bojan delivers a great EP!
"Echoes In The Wind", in addition to his two originals, also gets great remixes by artists such as Mariner + Domingo and another, long-awaited returnee, Kobana!
You are familiar with the music of this American duo, so we won't spend much on it. Simply, Mariner + Domingo are an integral part of today's music culture in every way. One of, one might say, pioneers of progressive music from Central Europe, comes to us from Poland. We have been enjoying its sounds for over 10 years. Simply, Kobana!

Bojan B - Echoes In The Wind (Mariner + Domingo Remix)

As Michael A continues his fruitful relationship with Proton Music, the Belarusian artist blossoms with a third instalment of his successful EP series. Adding to a raft of immaculate original tracks and powerful remixes, "Fantasy, Vol. 3" now takes centre stage.

Opening proceedings, "Spring Singing" is an aptly titled jaunt through smooth progressive house territory as a light percussive backdrop and deep kick pave the way for melodic touches to weave their way across the track in delightfully pitched variations. Building into the second half, the track hits its zenith with an effortless combination of rhythm and melody. "You Are Here" continues the intricate percussive top line arrangement of its predecessor before a rich sub-bass groove adds depth. Subtle melodic motifs wend their way at the mid-point as synth phrases shimmering in panned delays provide the perfect sonic colour. Developing, after the breakdown a scintillating dancefloor track erupts as the powerful kick creates a dynamic force. The third original track finds "Poison Pan" opening with a stunning combination of bass dominance and intelligently cadenced rhythm. White-noise fuelled pads add weight while a shimmering arp filters into sonic range, backed by counterpoint chords and raw LFO power at the breakdown. The delicate groove and sumptuous arp build once more in the second half to magical effect.

A newcome to the Proton Music catalogues, about : river have already demonstrated their flair talent via an array of labels including Nie Wieder Schlafen, Sound Avenue and Everything Will Be OK. Combining the craftsmanship of Oleg and Ervin Ivanov, the father and son partnership hit the ground running with June 2021's "Go Into The Mist" EP. Featuring a glorious musical triptych, the duo debut on Proton Music with a beautifully imagined interpretation of "Fantasy". Using the melodic themes inherent in Michael A's work, the about : river remix creates a sumptuous melodic tapestry that weaves golden threads in intricate sonic patterns to create a stunning new picture that pitches and falls in delicate patterns. Anchored by a driving beat and clicking, ticking percussive patterns, the result is an original and imaginative interpretation.

A second newcomer finds Alan Thomas Doyle creating another a progressive house gem through his amháin moniker. An artist who has performed in Europe, North America and across his native Australia, amháin has found his production talents in similar demand with work for The Purr, Sound Avenue and Meanwhile. A single remix for Particles in May 2021, remixing Loveclub, Mariner + Domingo, is now followed by a lilting progressive gem that takes the central melodic themes of "Silent Moments" and transforms them into a rolling groove-fuelled affair that is filled with delicate spot effects and pitched synth phrasing. Making clever use of the original components, a free-flowing interpretation waxes and wanes with ease across the 7-minute piece.

Michael A's "Fantasy" opens a new world of mystery and magic with three new originals and remixes from about : river and amháin.

Deepwibe Underground’s -102C begins the new year by welcoming Ryan (AR) and Not Demure to the label for a two track showcase. Born in Argentina but now based in Spain, Ryan (AR) found his footing quickly following his debut release for Clinique Recordings in 2019. The Barcelona resident took his deep sound to top tier destinations such as Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden and Hoomidaas. Similarly, Not Demure was born in Argentina and now calls Spain home. Following initial releases for Hitclub and TOTUM Music in 2017, the Mar del Plata native went on to showcase his sound via LAIKA Sounds, Magician On Duty and Univack. Now joining forces for the first time, DJ Ryan and Not Demure debut on -102C with ‘Lavender’.

Beginning with ‘Vetive’ Not Demure and RYAN work placid atmospheres and organic percussion over warm punchy beats and mountainous bass tones. The duo’s drifting effects are beautifully crafted, creating a vivid soundscape and magical transition into a second act of fragmented melodies and vibrant percussive arrangements. It’s a smooth and emotive transition which ultimately spearheads further melodic trickery and a delightfully wonky break.

Meanwhile, title selection ‘Lavender’ goes a touch deeper and more emotive with impassioned synth phrasing and tepid tonal themes layering a healthy complement of exotic percussion and voluptuous bass. The main break goes straight for the heart with a youthful exuberance and nostalgic chord changes perfectly setting up a heartfelt finale. It rounds out two exceptional tracks from Not Demure and RYAN, an artist duo who have delivered gorgeous design and strong musicality across both. Highly recommended.

Continuing a strong start to the year, Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint welcomes Domingo + back to the label for his first solo EP. As one half of the Mariner + Domingo duo, American artist Chris Domingo has compiled an impressive resume across an eighteen-month stretch. Upon making his debut on Balkan Connection in July of 2020, the Florida resident went on a remarkable run, landing releases via 3rd Avenue, Proton Music, RYNTH, and The Purr. Perhaps his most comfortable landing spot was Madloch's long-standing Sound Avenue imprint, where Mariner + Domingo released ten originals across ten months, none more impactful than ‘Another Life' and ‘Inertia', which earned play and support from Lee Burridge and Sebastien Leger respectively.
Now embarking on his future musical endeavors in solo capacity, Domingo + returns to Sound Avenue with a two-track showcase entitled ‘Hardway'.

As Domingo + continues to operate at a creative peak, it is the jubilant sounds of ‘Hardway' which set the course for this new career path. Played out over seven sun-drenched minutes, a storyboard of vocal fragments and Mediterranean motifs gets intertwined with chunky bass tones, clustered chimes, and dusty percussion. Sitting at the heart of the journey, a spirited interlude carries the youthful spirit of the vocal, set against a backdrop of aquatic cascades, before eventually melting down into a glowing finale.

Coming in deeper and more organic is the companion piece ‘Falling Apart'. Acting as an ideal complement to its predecessor, a forest of exotic drums and juxtaposed vocal phrasing paints a contemplative narrative. Mysterious and mystical, the main break furthers the affectionate vocal, sitting amidst muted tones and flickering percussion, before giving way to an unassuming drop and tastefully restrained conclusion. It rounds out two exceptional tracks from Domingo +, who not only makes a triumphant return to Sound Avenue, but gets his solo endeavors off to a tremendous start.

This remix was a challenge because of the unique and personal touch in the original sound. I putted all the elements apart and gave myself the time to explore the track. With my own view of groove and percussion I kept the ambient feel alive. Here for I created a subtle conga percussion groove with some filling elements, as the lead to be explored as a more cross cultural Ethnic Guitar wave. The rest is open for own interpretation of course. I always want to create a balanced sound for both listening and easy dancing moves.

The inclusion of Afro-Latin sounds and percussion as an addition to his most devoted beginnings in the Argentine school of progressive house represented a fundamental parameter in his current composition devoted to organic house.
