After having made his debut on the label with the release of his song 'All Those Things' on the Magnified Pt. 4 EP recently, Waxman makes his return on Francesco Pico's Magnitude Recordings label with his brand new single Dreams of Blue.

The Canadian producer of Where The Heart Is, Stripped Recordings, Cinematique and Wide Angle Recordings fame delights us with a dreamy flowing piece of progressive house music. Rich with pads and soundscapes, this is proper "eyes closed and drift away" music.

On remix duties we see one of Colombia's main artist; Dabeat. Last year he teamed up with Kamilo Sanclemente to deliver 'Morning Vibes' and he know returns on the label with a stunning rework, keeping the dreamy vibe of the original alive but adding a healthy dosage of South American groove. Very infectious!

Waxman - Dreams Of Blue

A respected name within the progressive house fraternity, Forerunners makes a welcome return to Meanwhile with his first full release in the shape of the "Ancient Methods" EP.

Operating out of his Arizona home, Brenden LaBonte has consistently found himself at the forefront of a distinctive underground house sound with his Forerunners soubriquet. An advocate of the quality over quantity' maxim and a sound that is full of maturity and quality, the US artist has seen his music allied to a plethora of high-profile imprints that include Anjunadeep, Silk Music, and Black Hole Recordings.

Now returning to GMJ and Matter's flagship imprint after a spell-binding interpretation of Mike Isai's "Home" in July 2021, Meanwhile's 21st release sees Forerunners open his "Ancient Methods" EP with the mesmerising title track. Full of melodic poise and rhythmic interplay, a driving beat and tight off-beat percussion heralds a dynamic opening before a mechanic bassline and syncopated groove create the foundation for delicate motifs to lilt their way across the 8-minute track with ease. Delay-infused effects and pitched synth add to the aural atmosphere at the breakdown as a sustained pad holds sway throughout to create a subtle tension and hypnotic vibe.

The complex rhythmic foundation that infuses the oxymoronic "Light in the Darkness" is a powerful forerunner for the deep melodic melange to follow. As running bassline and swirling effects build, a dizzying breakdown of looped arpeggio provides sonic intrigue and bright, uplifting zenith. Exploding into the third movement, an hypnotic melody sits against oppressive bass and rhythm to create a magical track.

Continuing the dark rhythmic narrative of its predecessors, "Valis" provides another sonic tapestry filled with texture and innovation. Beneath a ticking percussive groove and chest-thumping kick, an effects-laden and pitched oscillator bassline reveal themselves across the 6-minute offering as a mesmerising arp creates a powerful melodic presence in the mid-range. Science-fiction inspired effects that the Future Sound of London would be proud of, infuse the breakdown as the second half drops into the huge bass-heavy underpinning once more.

Redolent in modern and innovative production technique and a cutting-edge sound, Forerunners brings a scintillating new approach to "Ancient Methods".

Waxman (CA) - A Vision [Daydreamers]

Late Night Music is proud to bring New Zealand producer Nila into the fold with his debut release on the imprint - 'Solar Flare'. The EP features three dark and driving progressive house originals, along with remixes from Diego Moreira and Waxman.
The title track opens the EP, building with rising arpeggiated synths and underpinned by bass growls. The techno-edged 'Interpolation of Self' follows, with Argentina's Diego Moreira adding a haunting darkness to its uneasy melodies. The EP closes with the hypnotic 'Escape' - a true headcaver of a progressive house track - while Canadian producer Waxman resolves the EP with a melodic finale on the remix.

Este productor argentino ha lanzado música previamente en sellos como Future Avenue, Bullfinch, Natura Soul y muchos otros. Para los remixes, hemos invitado a dos productores de Perú: Jhordan Welsch y Mindlandcholic. Además, nuestro compatriota, Fer Mora, quien recientemente lanzó su EP en solitario "Walk" en nuestro sello hace unas semanas, ha creado un hermoso remix en su estudio para la tercera versión.

The most recent release on South America Avenue introduces Marcos Calegari from Florencio Varela, Buenos Aires, to the label with his "El Ahora" EP. This Argentine producer has previously released music on labels including Future Avenue, Bullfinch, Natura Soul, and many others. For the remixes, we've invited two producers from Peru: Jhordan Welsch and Mindlandcholic. 3rd Avenue is an electronic music imprint which operates under the Sound Avenue umbrella.  As the Belgian imprint continued to grow and diversify its output 3rd Avenue was created to focus on the more traditional progressive house sounds which ultimately spawned Sound Avenue’s beginnings. The labels initial releases from Blusoul, Lautaro Varela, Matias Chilano and Progress Inn forged a strong blueprint which still holds true today. Now ten years since the labels inception 3rd Avenue has built a healthy artist roster which includes Nicolas Rada, Dmitry Molosh, Hot Tuneik, Eric Lune, Monojoke, Figueras, Subnode, La Vue, Beije, St.Ego and many more.  The label’s ‘We Are The Future’ compilation series has long been one of the best showcases of new and undiscovered artists. Released quarterly these exclusive collections are now revered industry wide for not only developing new talent but for featuring some of the freshest most cutting edge music around. 2024 holds even more promise for this flourishing imprint with a bevy of exciting releases and an ever expanding artist roster.
