While most people associate slurs with race, sex, religion, etc. I define these words as social slurs. Meaning, the words are often used to discredit/marginalize someone socially. I shed some light on the origin of these words and their proper usage.

I consider myself a pragmatic academic. I currently hold three collegiate degrees (B.S. in Biology, A.S. in Laboratory Sciences, and M.S. in biotechnology with a biodefense concentration) and have been studying western civilization and politics for, approximately, eight years. I am a retired US army veteran and am the product of the best homeschooling has to offer. I strive to begin serious dialogues and debates on many issues that effect the world today. Never to be intimidated by the threat of political correctness, I am often attracted to study controversial topics in history and society at large.
